I would like to thank the people on RIU for there cleverness and ideas. to start off with,
150w HPS
108w t5 4ft strip 65k
2x 150w CFL 65k
150w CFL 27k
400w MH
400w HPS.......that would be the lights.
tons of Mylar.
soil: FFOF, perlite, decomposed mushroom fungus for root growth, coconut shelling, and bone mill.
nutrients: FF big bloom, FF cha ching, ff bone mill, ff bat guano.
3x fan
LST
maybe one more fan
and i just added an ac today as well
24hr light for veg, then 12/12, and then 2 days to 7 days black out.......then....:weed:
i planted today and i will post pics today or very soon. if anyone has any positive advice or constructive comments, pleas post. this being my first grow of this sort, and all, i could probably use some help.
the room is around 4x4 with a 7ft ceiling. any beginners advice? my temp keeps getting up to 97 f. but with fans pointed at the hps, it keeps it at 73-85f. any ideas. my get a cheap used AC. more soon and pics

i have been putting the blue freezer bricks in front of the fan. mine as well, helps cool it down. planted two chrystals by nirvana yesterday.
tomorrow or the next, two to three seedman seeds white widow will go in. i am also going to drop the bcn diesel from kannabia in as well.
happy spirits, and the mars volta is shaking my speakers.

Whats a good chem/method to keep mites and other insects out? something to keep them out, and something to fry them if they ever come my way.

i tried to post some pics but, i can not seem to find my usb cord. maybe ill use my web cam to snap a few....? does anyone have any experiance with the strains i mentioned or any useful tips?

anyone out there? is there an easy way to keep the room at 70 degrees without spending loads of cash? i got an ac pointed at a fan and the fan in the room. it helps a lot, but my bedroom has the ac....so i have crazy light coming in here. oh, and i have about 1250watts going at once

i don't really like the name chrystal for this plant,
so i call it white lights i like that name better. i
call it that since its crossed with white widow
and northern lights. this is a picture at the middle of
the 2nd week of flowering

hey,

if you're just now dropping seeds in, you don't need the amount of light that would cause the temp to go up that high.

start off with a few cfls or your T5 until you need more light.

if i don't find the camera usb cord by tomorrow, then i will get a crappy web cam. but, PICS SOON! one sprouted today. i planted them two days ago. i have also stabilized the heat issue. 77f-85f typical is 80f.

Sounds good, get some pics up!! I would definitely grow them under the cfl's for a couple weeks at minimum before throwing them under that hps. I'm amazed at what a few cfl's did for veg with my plants so far! Unfortunatly I don't have an hps to throw mine under, for flowering.. yet... I did just get some mataro blue and la blanka so I'm subbed and waiting for some pics:)

Thanks. i may have to use my cell phone for pics, still can't find the usb cord for my camera. but, i will have pics soon. it has been fortold!......... im so baked

planted two chrystal seeds on the 8th. one came up a day later and the other today. they look good. and today, the barcelona diesel, 2x white widow, and a freebie magus motavation thanks to attitude, went in pots an hour ago. running 150w hps, 400w mh, 2x 150w cfl 65k, 150w cfl 27k and a 4ft 108w t5 65k. trying to keep full sepctrum. when flowering starts, i will drop 1 or 2 of the 65k cfl and put another 27k then start up my 400w hps. 4 seeds going and two seedlings growing fast as hell.:clap: i have run into two little moth like insects crawling around the edge of the pot. ill keep an eye on it. any ideas?:eyesmoke:

Damn very nice lineup!! You weren't kidding about your lights, so are you vegging under all those lights? Shit you could probably get away with just the 150 cfl for the first few weeks, just a thought! I'll be checking in for some pics and udates, stay high!!
