supposed to be here tomorrow night. it's gonna start slow but by friday pm they say it should be pouring for at least a few days. we tend to get all our heavy rain during jan and feb. if this storm is what it says it will be then we should get some heavy flooding. if such events occur i will most definitely go out and take some pics. :blsmoke:

I would trade that rain for some of our snow anyday, save the back breaking shovelling lol. Good luck and bare down the hatches.:peace:

looks like it's gonna be a wet weekend. gonna charge the batteries in my camera and make sure i got a full tank of gas. time to see what my new truck can do. you know it only takes something like 5 inches of water on the road to wash a car away. you'd be surprise at the force of a small stream of water flowing over the roadway. i've gone thru some before that was just below the bottom of the door panels. i could feel myself starting to float. it was pretty scary. now, if i can't see the lines painted on the road thru the water, i won't even try.

my son and i watched these fools pull a truck out of the flooded roadway one day. the water was about 4 feet deep and flooded about 200 feet of the road. the truck got washed into the gutter. they had about 75 feet of chain and some dude was out there swimming to the truck to hook the chain to it. took them about half an hour but they got it. dude had to dive under to hook up the chain. it was about 50 degrees out and all he had on was a pair of jeans. it wasn't even a nice truck. looked like a little beater honda or something. i was amazed that someone would risk drowning for such a trophy.

Why do Cali people lose their minds when it rains?

People go absolutely crazy....I guess good weather spoils.

3 drops of water on the ground....and its a 30 car pileup.
