white hairs?

when do the female white hairs start showing on a plant. i have 2 plants.their about 2 and a half months old.. both of them look very healthy (although one is slightly bigger than the other). the slightly bigger one is starting to get very fine white hairs on the bigger sets of leaves. its only at the tip and the edges under the tip. does this mean anything or is this mormal for all plants.

they start showing when you start the flowering cycle 12/12

white hairs are a good sign but beware of clumps of balls that resemble a bunch of grapes. That will indicate a male. Keep checking both plants daily as a hermie could form from what you thought was a female.

so you see white hairs starting to protrude from around the node point somewhere? Thats good, very good. You have a mature girl on your hands there(or possibley a herm, probally not, but its still a possibility. Plants will produce preflowers and get alternating nodes when they become mature, regardless of the light cycle.

agreed ganja - i like to V E G until i see pre-flowers when the ladies are maturing in that cycle - its pointless growing inferior weed when u can wait a few more weeks and grow some monsters - u get me!

seeing white hairs aka pistils in VEG is ideal and i believe how weed shud be grown

Yes, pistils and alternating nodes is what I use to judge.

I've noticed though since growing only clones the last couple months, they show the pistils very early and the nodes alternate off the MAIN stem. I'm guessing cause they were taken from a mature plant?

Either way, I agree I don't flower immature plants.
