Led ufo 90 watts dont work!!!!!

Hey freinds i did a 1 month study and found that the ufo 90 watt led tri band and 5 band do not work worth a fuck!!! I had better results with a 75 watt floresent the leds could not even keep clones alive they are too weak and just a novelty! Stick to the mh and hps dont fall for the hype they are a wast of money!!!

I would like to see you attempt to convince NASA that LEDs are only a novelty and that CFLs or even HID lighting are better options. You would be laughed at most heartily.

I agree with BT. If you are willing to spend 1500 plus on a LED, then the results will follow. And I know that sounds like alot of cash. But when you consider the fact you can replace a 1000 watt HID with something that just uses over 300 watts. With a more complete spectrum and less heat. The energy savings alone will pay for the light in under 2 years. Oh ya, no bulbs to replace every six months. More savings. Check out this http://stealthgrow.com/products.htm#SG1202 These are the real deal. I would own one but they are in such high demand they are alway on backorder. I do agree the UFOs suck the big one. Cheap Chinese crap.

You dislike them so much you need two threads. :)

Sorry your experience with them was bad. I would be pissed too. LED prices are coming down a lot, and getting much brighter. In a few years anyone doing a personal grow and using 600w HIDs and lower will probably switch. Because they give off so little heat they are perfect for CO2 grows as well.

They are replacing 1000 watt hid systems as we speak. The real deal is here, just a big up front expense. Check the link in my post above. You almost have to 'know someone' right now though to get your mitts on one. Edit: just checked the site and they are in stock!!!!!! Time to spend some money..... I am off shopping. I feel like it is Xmas. The CMH now this!!!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I wouldn't replace the 1000 HIDs with LEDs yet. I think the LEDs can produce some great buds, but I think they are too expensive. My buddy is running 4 205w LED lights. They were $800 each. For that same money I could buy 5 1000w lights, ballasts, reflectors and still have money to pay for their use.

Good to see another CMH grower though! I am surprised that more people haven't switched over. CMH produces amazing results!

I use a 400w MH in a closet op and bought it ballast and all for 50 bux. I will spend the couple hundred bux i saved on the electric. MH are bright as hell and are growing mine just fine,,,,even under 97 degree conditions. lol

how can i lower temps in a closet? im only in vegg now 4 weeks till flower. any advice
Get an air cooled reflector and exhaust fan and push the hot air out of the grow space. That is the first thing to do.

The second is to make sure you have a constant air flow going into the box. You'll also want fans blowing air through the plants, not just for cooling, but to make sure the stems increase in size, nodal spacing is tighter, and you won't get damp patches where mold can form.

Heat won't affect veg plants like it does flowering plants, and in 4 weeks the weather will be cooler so that will help too.
