Which 400 watt metal halide do I need to buy?

Hello:

Which 400 watt bulb do I need? The hydro store said 80 bucks and damn..Ive spent about 1300 already. I know Im complaining.....where is a better deal then 80 bucks?

You can get some cheaper ones like 55 bucks at htgsupply. You can also pick up a MH bulb at home depot for 30 bucks.

Was it supposed to be 6500k ? I thought is was...but if that one will work then the price is right. Thanks for looking for it. I had saw some but not 6500k. Is 4200k ok?

Welcome to growing, where the investments never stop. Gets better once you've pulled a few plants tho :)

Definitely get better values on 400w MH bulb than that, I get them for about $25

I bought my 400W MH bulb from Home Depot for $29 . It works damm fine. It was the same brand as the grow shop.

Buy them online, and realize the color options for MH are endless. The super cheap bulbs are usually crap though, but you can deff find better value than the $80-$110 ones.
