I too appreciate the effort, but the key to any controlled and accurate scientific test is 100% consistency with the only variable being the one tested, IE: The soil.
When there is more then one variable in a controlled test the results are erroneous. Period.
I've started from seed many times, and I've seen 5 or 6 distinctly different phenos from a 10 pack of seeds. I understand both showed inferior results, but is it possible that the better phenos were both started in Fox Farm? Yes, VERY likely. The pictures even look like like different phenos; one leggy, one short and squat, etc.
About 2 years ago a friend of mine did 18 Querkle clones all from the same mom. 9 in Fox Farm Ocean Forest and 9 in Roots Organics. Both 100% organic, both using Biobizz nutrients. And his results were different. The final product in Roots Organics all had thicker stems, and a more robust root mass which ultimately lead to a larger yield. We didn't cure and weigh them separately, but if I had to guess 10 to 20% more. Visually it was obvious, so we didn't see the need to. Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures documenting our little test, because it was really something we did just for shits and giggles.
I would encourage you to do the same test again using clones from the same mother in identical containers, and do at least 6 this time; 3 in FF and 3 in Roots. It would be interesting to see if your results are more in line with ours, or if you get similar results.
Again, good effort just too many variables.
