I started a lowryder diesel about 4 weeks ago. It's sttill very small and I'm not thinking that in another 4 weeks she's gonna be done. This being the case, can I just grow her as a photoperiod and veg her a couple months on an 18/6 cycle then change her to 12/12 cycle? Or because she's an auto will she start flowering no matter the size? I'm kinda excited about this strain but I don't think she's gonna yeild zip at this pace as an auto. But as a photoperiod she might.

don't know why you would want to.

if your wanting a plant that flowers with the change of lighting (photoperiod).. you should have just bought regular seeds instead of investing in autoflowering. I mean, what was the point in ordering them.. if your wanting to use the photo-period??

doesn't make much sense to me.. but that's just MO.

peace.. and good luck. :|

I don't wanna grow her photo, i bought the autos because of the low maintenece, quick grow method. I'm just saying worst case scenario, that's all.

Thats not possible. You missed your chance this time, if you dont get good/excellent growth during its *veg* period you cant really fix it besides adding as much light as possible, what size is that container?. Sorry. How many watts and type of light are u using? The whole point of autoflowers is that they will start flower no matter the photoperiod, thats why you cant change it.

I got her in a 2 1/2 gallon pot. Didn't wanna have to transplant cause I heard that was stressful to these little plants. I'm using 3 cfls. They're 395 actual watts, 1150w equivalent.

Yeah I wouldn't recommend transplanting. I had a feminized auto blue mystic and transplanted it. Other than that it had almost no stress...but it hermied. I'll be using a peat pellet to tranfer it to my larger smartpot this time.

Yeah I got a jock horror auto I think I'm gonna start in a smaller pot and tansplant her at week 3 when I start the nutes. My theroy is that she grew down, and stretched out her roots in the bigger pot. She never really grew up at all. At week 5 she's just up to her 4th node

I thought plant size was directly related to root size. More roots=more plant. Is this false?
