How come the search function does not work?

I have tried to search for certain key words and also by username to filter a thread to only see the posts made by that user and none of it works.


Why are the search functions broken? They have been this way for quite a while now.

Again, how come the search function does not work?


For instance i try searching for posts made by Heath Robinson in his thread Heaths flooded tube vertical and it doesnt work.
I would like filter all the posts to only show his, but when i search ( ALL SEARCHES are Broke Not just this) for Heath Robinson in his own thread it comes back empty?

you will have more luck if you use google and add riu at the end of your phrase. the riu search engine isn't broken, it's just not the best. 2 character phrases like ph and t5 are discarded and the results are organized in a weird way. google will get it done for you.

For real? Wow, that sucks, can't the search engine just be ameliorated instead of receding to Google every time you look for something (that's a humble request, it would make many site user's lives easier, I bet)
