master hemp, nice tri-pod ive been looking for ppl who have them and i am interested in trying to breed it into a plants genetics.

and airwave, ive had that happen to clones of mine, i heard it was a reaction to the stress. it will just "drop its top" i guess. i dont know about seedlings but maybe stress could be why it happend without a pinch.
sounds interesting, i doubt ill be breeding this, ill just grow it out and smoke the rewards :)

change of plans, the triploid has gotten bigger and i am going to breed it to get some seeds and hopefully it will keep its triploid genetics,
question is what should i cross it with, i have ak47 and blueberry, im hoping i get atleast 1 male ak47 and pollinate the triploid with the ak male, im thinking this would be a good cross as the ak47 is very potent. any thoughts?

These are pics of a plant I topped above the second node. Two of the main colas have the whorled phyllitaxis and and the other two don't. Out of 13 plants I grew from bag seed, two have this. The other one has it on all four colas. sns:leaf:DSCF0151.jpgDSCF0150.jpgDSCF0149.jpgDSCF0152.jpg

In my breeding efforts into making an orange autoflower(ongoing) i came across about 6 of these in the last year, it seems in the f1's i made they are very common, sadly i ran out of f1's(and the mother was the autoflower :( ) but i have hundreds of f2's and many made from the best male triploid i produced, so i may just have a whole set of new triploids.... this experience has been hella fun, and i aptly named the strain Deku (after a weed in Legend of Zelda) ocarina+of+time+great+deku+tree+legend+of+zelda+N64.jpgDeku_Royal_Family.png

Video's for your pleasure of the male i used AKA triforce.

Yes I'm curious to see what this looks like. I remember this book my dad has, Cultivators Handbook of Marijuana by Bill Drake (great book by the way), was first thing I ever read about weed. Anyway it talked about polyploid plants and the use of colchicine (sp?) to create super potent pot. The treatment was supposed haphazard and possibly lethal but apparently cutting edge stuff in the 1970's.
It's hard to there is any truth to it if it's been around since the 70's and it's still unproven.

Anyway I can't find much about the stuff today.... well that is anything except for some science journal on it's use with alfalfa. Oddly enough that journal mentioned some polyploid cell changed and the cell was named like K/G-13. Could this be the myth of the G-13 strain?

I'll have to see if I can get a hold of that book again.

My triploid/trifoliate Strawberry Guava plant retained it's mutations to the end; didn't train much other than defoliating this go, curious to watch what unfolded. One plant was normal and her mutant sister: trifoliate or triploid bud sites, budlets tried to set on over about ~2/3 of all fan leaves at the petioles before and after heavy defoliation both, and one small conjoined/siamese bud site showed up. Normal plant is sticky and stanky enough I want to run more Bloom again, smelling just like overpowering strawberries and some tropical fruit. The mutant is full on oily/greasy by comparison and while has some similar fruity terps, is downright rank by comparison (rubber and tennis ball thing going on)

Just harvested her, wanted to push a bit further but her sibling was done done and I needed the space. Can see better some of the lil buds that tried to form on a large number of the petioles, lil conjoined bud that didn't get much light for leaving more novelty fan leaves going than was best, and the tri-bud sites filled in all over however don't show as well outside areas i didn't supercrop - just looks bushier or odd from the side, until looking deeper. Maybe way off base being a newer grower learning by trial and error, but found this an interesting and fun plant to watch grow with some unexpected surprises
