Mites and Ladybugs

my plants are in the ground but I still have mites if I put ladybugs on the plant will they do the job or will they just fly away since it's outdoor and can I still spray the leaves while the ladybugs are still on the plant or remove them and put them back after spray? I was using azatrol but i would rather use them ladybugs.

it's worth a try. If outdoor, you're already in flowering....so spraying them with most pesticides is not recommended. Perhaps Neem Oil. Although I personally don't like to mess with it.

no my plants are still veging still have 2 months until flower.

Then spray them! why would you want to wait on ladybug if your outdoor or in any place honestly.... which yes will fly away, sadly they aren't as attached to the plants as we are.

I would use some neem oil. I thinks its called Einsteins neem oil and it has some added stuff(organic crap) in there that helps kill the mites in my experience it worked great with the sample i was given.

Azatrol is great actually its exactly what i now use. Heh didn't figure you had a hydro store or anything if your using ladybugs. Well the spray literally kills them on contact are you spraying the azatrol directly onto the leaves? top and bottom man it works wonders within two weeks your plant will be mite free. just spray every 3 days, 4 towards the end as they are less and less but do not let them trick you!!!! But do not get lazy with the spraying either it literally needs to be 100% of the plant those things live for 3 days and lay hundreds of eggs every day its horrible, the spots you miss are the spots they lay giant stacks of eggs if given the time being outdoor...

trying to introduce the lady bugs and them stay there is almost impossible outside, you really need a contained area for this. And the thing with lady bugs is the fully mature ones dont do much its there babys that eat most the mites and eash one will only be able to eat about 5 mites a day.

yep sounds like ladybugs are out. When I use azatrol I spray the plant real good.

Do Azitrol EVERY Sunday and Thursday or any 3 then 4 day rotation you like, and don't stop until all signs are gone, and have been gone for a month or more......

so if i spray today the next spray is Saturday and does it have to be at the same time everytime I spray?

ladybugs will stick around for 1-3 days. if you want to use them, wait until just after sunset and mist the plant well, then release the ladybugs. keeping things moist will keep the ladybugs around a little longer, but they will be gone once they eat what there is to eat. i like using ladybugs because it is fun to see 1000 carnivores eating every pest they can find.
