reading that really makes me wish I could be there to help you! Great job! It will all be worth it..... the pics of the set up look prime, good spacing, great soil mixture, lots of roots space and good water..... Awesome, :)
Thx TLD. I think I will have to use a rototiller to mix the excavated soil with the modified supersoil mixture as I dont have enough $ to buy the compost/soil/etc needed to fill the 4 x 4 x 2 holes. I have already spent $400 on soil and amendments and I dont think I have enough to fill the holes 1/2 way. Once the soil and modified soil mixture is mixed I doubt there will be much of a difference. Im cutting the boxes on Monday help or not.

Have a Happy 4th everyone

Hey GT, man I sure wish I could help you out. Sounds like you need to have one of TLD's little gatherings over there. ha
But you'll get it done and appreciate it that much more. Sweat equity is a very proud asset. And you have it in spades.

You were so right about me wasting time on bagseed. I look back on all those holes I dug for males it makes me sick. And starting and setting out clones too early. But I'm still learnin' :weed:

I too....Looking forward to seeing those boxes fill up and out! :leaf:

later amigo :peace:

THx Slab. Sometimes you need to experience the other side before you know what you were missing. Glad I could point you in the right direction.

I cut a bunch of the wood for the raised bed boxes and now I will start building the boxes. I have enough for 4 boxes right now so I need to start building them. I am still sexing some of the phenos. I cut the Purple Jack some to get the pollen for future seed production on select plants. I will post some pics of my little pollen collection method. Since Muddy said the green pheno was really strong I my use that pollen too. THe sacks on the green one are also purplish but the plant is not. I have some BA and BK that are purple also so they will get another shot of purple pollen.

I have killed off some of the less desirable males and will start weeding out the less desireable female phenos. I dont know what I did to the Violator Kush but that plant just doesnt like the way Im growing it. It seems to be browing on the tips. I also need to use some Spinosad as I have killed 3 little inch worms and have seen a lot of moths in the air. Time for a yard spray too. I forgot to take pics today as I got busy with real work. Maybe tomorrow.

Thx Slab. I cant wait to get them into the ground. These little pots are driving me crazy. I transplanted some of them into bigger pots and they just fill them up.

Hell yeah they are! Great job GT!
Thx TLD. Will be working the boxes this weekend and on Monday filling them up. I may need to top some of them as they are somewhat spindly from lack of sun I think or it may be pheno related. I will be watching the HAOGK and C 99. I am keeping my fingers crossed for some nice plants from the 5 DW and 2 JB babies. Hope Im not too late for them.

Was a little bumbed today as I had to pull some plants out of the 20-gal pots because I needed the soil. to mix into the new soil mixture. The plants had escaped their pots and started growing into the 20-gal pot. Poor things they didnt like me uprooting them but I think they will be happier in their new homes soon. I made some boxes and mixed soil today. My whole body hurts. I have to treat the wood and then the boxes are ready to put into use. Tomorrow I will have some finished , planted raised beds.
It was hot (relatively) today and even though I watered yesterday the pots were dry as a bone today. Watered tonight. Also the wind came up and blew over about 6 plants. Stay tuned

Well its been awhile since I updated last so here are some pics of my progress. I only have 4 more boxes left to build and then I will fill the boxes with some soil and I will be ready to select the plants that go into the raised beds. I will also have 2 more in 20-gal pots. I am so late to get the plants into the ground I hope they grow well this year. The weather has been so wierd down here. Last week was in the 90s and this weekend cooled off into the 80s.

The girls are doing well but I have to keep them watered and fertilized almost daily since they are in small pots (changing soon). The BA smells like a skunk. One of the BCK is so lanky it will not make the cut. I think I finally got one of the Ult Chems to be female but it doesnt have that great of a internodal structure but it is the only female I have of Ult Chem.

Here are some pics I took on Sun. Enjoy

Row 1: Group, C 99, HAOGK, LA Con, Ult Chem
Row 2: BCK, purple BK, CI x BB, Back 2 are JB and front 5 are DW, raised beds and beds waiting for boxes
Row 3: Finised raised bed

Boxes are sweet GT, since it's late you won't need to fill them all the way up but you should do so for next seasons grow. Weather has been hot here and wish I could enjoy temps in the 80s, but the girls sure do love those 100 degree days..

I am plannng to add some mulch to the top but I need to finish adding soil to the other 7 first. I think I need to order more dirt to mix with the amendments for the upper layer.

All the boxes are complete and in place now. Got rid of some undesireable phenos today too. I will have to select 16 out of the 20 or so that I have left. Tough decisions ahead

At this stage, their like babies. Keep em all!!!
Done!!! Tomorrow is planting time. 12 will go into the raised beds and 4 into 20-gal pots. Now all I have to do is select which 16 females get planted. I would keep them all but I just dont have the energy to trim it all myself in Nov/Dec. I am hoping for some easy to trim phenos this year. I may just plant in smaller pots too maybe do some for seeds. I still have purple Jack and Ult Chem males alive. I will get some picks up tomorrow.

I am so lucky it hasnt been hot except for 1 week. It will make the stress of transplanting less intense for the plants. I will be so happy to get them in the ground. Prepare for takeoff.
