With any luck this will be a kinder, gentler post. It took me some time to figure out how to start it but with some help from more educated members I managed.

Those of you, if any, not familiar with our last go can get my bio the other route so I don't offend anyone who has suffered through the past attempt.

I am happy to answer question that are grow related and specific, not wide open ones like "how do you grow in 45 days" piece at a time plus the journal is coming soon.

If I can help in other areas I am more than happy to do so. Please no bashing this time or I'll shut down, enough already. Just grow and community please. Deal?

ok, i have seedlings that were just born yesterday. i took them outta there humidity domes and placed them under my t5. why do they keep dying? what am i doin wrong? they are growing in soil. its not my first grow but i took a break for a couple of months and cant seem to get my shit together.

Since no one answered on the thread i made, I guess I'll try here. Is it ok to put a geminated seed into fox farms ocean forest soil right away? or should i choose a different medium and transplant when the times right

I think you'll be fine. I have planted seeds into super rich soils without issue. Ocean Forrest is pretty mild.

Go slow when switching. Crack the dome open a bit and transition. Also prop them up in case they stretch. Why do you cover at all if starting from seed? no need

I germed the seeds put them in peat pellets, then put the domes on them for humidity. They sprouted in 2 days.

You want to stay under 2.0 anyhting over 4 is extreme and most likely fatal. If checking soil you need to drain and make adjustments, let me know if you need soil procedures
Cannabis salinity tolerance is at least 6. Low end... top end 8.0...

I've fed seedlings 3.2

I know the soil procedures for measuring EC already.

I have some seeds from my wife's former husband. He was a big-time grower and saved some seeds before he passed away. Considering his tastes, these would be great seeds.

However, they've been sitting and kept dry for almost a decade. Are these seeds still viable?

Thank you, Professor Marijuana.

Most likely environmental since they just started, we could ask a few hundred questions but my money says transition. T5 won't do it and the room shouldn't be to hot with those lights. Your guess? Trouble maker:-)
He's trying too hard. Too much watering maybe. it could be the environmental stress from the transition, but dying? maybe flop over for a couple of hours, but to actually die says something darker is going on to me.

Try and avoid any unneccessary changes, always a potential problem spot. If you're from seed, in soil, another day to sprout is meaningless in the big picture. Go to the end container as soon as you can to avoid transplanting, room providing. Have you tried double bucket technique for soil grows before?

Not hard to find out

if you start from seed then yes a humidity dome IS needed for the first few days, you can take it off a little bit but they need some humidity. Also yur plants wont stretch if your lights are close enough. With floros this means within inches of the tops. Put your hand under the light when its uncomfortable for you it is also for the plants. FFOF is fine for seedlings but don't feed anything but plain water for the first month or so.

In soil as long as you stay moist you don't need a dome, just don't dry out. You can bring your light closer to prevent stretching and I haven't had much trouble burning under T5's shorter, stronger, less problems. Agreed on the over watering, once the tap is out it will search for the water, don't like wet feet, jpust moist
