Yes indeed they are tastey! I live in the capital of my state. The most densly populated, concrete jungle my state has to offer. Just cause someone lives in a metro area doesnt mean they cant enjoy fresh critters of nature haha

know what blue-toungue does to a deer? Causes the animals mouth and toungue to swell shut, leaving it to slowly stave death. A long, drawn out, angonizing death. Which, to you, sounds much more humaine then a well placed heart shot which lasts maybe 10 seconds Have you ever driven on an interstate through Illinois at night around Halloween? Or anywhere in the Mid West that time of year... Deer-to-vehicle accidents are astronomical!! Over populations a bitch.. Hope you enjoy eating your steroid infested chicken and beef.

Absurd "politically correct" statements aside, I agree. As a resident of the midwest I second that deer populations can get pretty thick around here and that they can be a major hazard to drivers in the area. On a few occasions I've actually had deer wander right up to my front door on quiet nights, and I live NOWHERE near the country. It's pretty shocking to stick your head out the front door stoned as hell and come face to face with a young buck in the middle of the fuckin hood ya know?

If the US government gave the Nuge a waiver, well that officially makes him not a draft dodger doesn't it? It doesn't matter how much supposed "Evidence" you can produce the fact he was given a waiver is the only thing that matters.

We call the part before you harvest the animal hunting, you know the part where you sit outside for 40 hours waiting and waiting and waiting while it rains/snows. You've checked your trail cameras the night before and you just know that huge White Tail buck is in the area. So you wait and you stalk, you look for signs, you commune with nature. Occasionally some dumb ass who has no respect for nature will shoot an animal from the comfort of his vehicle and is only a hunter of opportunity, most hunters look down upon that sort of thing. Sure some animals get wounded and run off to die a slow death, many people get buck fever and will start to shake and sweat uncontrollably at the moment of truth and screw up what would otherwise have been a kill shot. You track that animal as far as you can, but some get away.

What you city folk think is that your hamburgers come from some factory, you didn't know that they grow cattle just for the purpose of "Killing" them, they have no defenses at all, they willingly go to the slaughter. I don't see any of you harping on the ranchers for killing those cattle. At least the hunter is not assured of a kill, unlike the McDonalds on the corner that always gets its target. Hypocrites.

It had nothing to do with the rifle, but the fact the rifle needs to be kept very clean to operate well. The rifle gets very dirty from firing it alone as it is a direct impingement gas operated bolt that gets full of carbon. When the rifle first came out it was not issued with a cleaning kit, nor were instructions given on how to clean it, people just assumed that it would be like a AK-47, never needed to clean it. Once cleaning kits were issued and instruction on care were given the rifle did well.

Oh and I wouldn't call anyone who is trying to occupy a foreign sovereign nation against its will an innocent American. Just American will do, there is no innocence involved. But you were spot on with your assertion that it was Useless, good call on that one.

Hunters are some of the biggest active conservationists you will ever meet because they understand the necessity of a healthy environment for the animals they hunt. Additionally, in every state I have ever lived in, the fees paid by hunters to the state are what fund conservation efforts and sustainable harvesting of wild animals. Without hunters, there simply would not be as large or as healthy of a wild population of animals.

And to the person above who said you could carry an M-4 to DC, I would love to see you attempt to do so. You can not. It is against federal law and will land you in prison.

and will also add that the benefits of having such a small hunting populations
operating under tightly controlled and ardently managed federal wildlife guidelines
is a good way to manage wildlife populations and ensure support for conservation of valuable wilderness areas
in our nation.
