decided to make Subcool's section this threads new home on the count of feeling like it's more relevant here :)

This is my Monster JTR:
View attachment 1059323

Her mother turned out to be a very nice Lemon pheno with nice dense buds

She is in a 20gal smart pot full of FFoF under a 1000w HPS atm with the full Fox Farms liquid and soluble line and I even just picked up some Canna Rhizotonic for roots that I probably should have had for her much sooner but oh well... I have it for the future at least...

Her stalk is currently about as thick a a quarter and this plant was topped 3 times fairly early in veg... Pics of her lifetime are attached.

Really, the only thing I'm not sure of is when I should start flowering?! Her canopy is at ~3'x3' and she is under two feet tall from the dirt. I have about two feet of vertical space left before she will start to get too close to the light. Any experience indoor monster growers have any tips? This is the first time I've grown something of this size. :peace:

edit: in the last pic she looks a little scruffy because I took that pic after doing my daily LST on her and she's in the HPS light (which I've always thought is sooooo shitty for pictures!!!! milk carton cap on the leaf is pretty pro though :))

Nothing really specifically 'in the act' but you can see the little wire pieces I like to use in the 4th pic. I basically have it set up so there are several "anchors" around my plant that are holding down some of the bigger branches, and then I pull from the middle outward and connect several branches to either the anchor branch itself or another securely fastened branch. The plant just keeps getting wider this way and not(much) taller.

The size of the stem tells me everything and while I have a much diff style that you here I think I would start budding her.
If your temps are pretty constant in dark and light she wont stretch as bad but a 12 degree diff can make strains really stretch so keep that in mind.
I am honored to have your thread here and I am tuned in.

Thanks for stopping in sub, I think I'm going to follow your advice with flowering asap, I've been pretty much dying to anyway:hump: . My temps stay will stay pretty consistent I'm pretty sure (flowering at night so 80-85 lights on close to the same during the day was pretty easy to achieve in my last round in this room). I think it being in a basement helps a decent amount... And I just got this little freestanding AC that uses refreezable ice block-thingies in anticipation of the august heat.

If you stay below 80 pest become less of a problem fyi

Yeah, I've always had to spray my Neem oil mix at least weekly... It's always been a battle:evil:

how old is she?
I lost track but she is somewhere around 3 months old although she was in a 3gal pot for a decent chunk of it... It was kind of spur of the moment when I decided to make her a beast, she was originally gonna be a mom.

Flowering starts Monday (after the mini heat wave this weekend). She is going to get a nice spray down with the neem mix and a light helping of nutes (wanna get some open sesame in there).

Meanwhile, 7 JTR clones and a couple seedlings(chronic and warlock... freebies!) get to hang out under my 400w daylight MH(hortilux) bulb. These guys will be topped only once, and trained a little in 1gal pots before they get a new home in either my current 3gal pots, or 5-7gal smart/air pots that I've been thinking of buying. Anyone have any input here? So many choices!

after that? I've got some Querkle seeds!

Looking wonderful.... I still have not had a chance to try any TGA seeds. It certainly is a must. Thank you for sharing your advanced knowledge and techniques.... 12 degrees, I didn't know that.....

btw I think 20gal pot is overkill and waste of soil if you aren't gonna veg long... i have a 2' x 2' veg plant in a 3 gal pot with orchard supply brand soil and isn't root bound yet.

I'm actually very happy with the size of pot I'm using, i had actually hit up a few of Mblazes threads and he was using 15ish gallon pots under 600w per plant with a long veg period before choosing the 20gal... seems to fit well. This plant has spent almost the entire summer vegging (~3months) so I'm fairly sure it is making use of all the soil.

Nothing too new with her atm, update pics will come when there is something to see.

Mine has been vegging about 2-3 months and it's 2x2 just going into flower. It's in a 3 gal pot and looking very healthy, not rootbound. Used cheap soil from orchard supply. It should be way bigger but I had it under MH which were the wrong spectrum (10k or 14k).
Anyway.. just saying, you could use 1/4 of that soil and still end up with the same sized plant. but if cost isn't an issue then whatever.

SO

This monday marks 14 days 12/12, the stretch is over and buds have began forming.

I selected this JTR cut based off of her smell (very lemony), taste, potency, as well as type of high. Her mother was... whats the word? Psychedelic feeling, Hazey...

Well, she also happens to be a bit of a stretcher... no problem, I'm up for the extra challenge in canopy management...I've got my stakes and ties ready so... bring it on!:hump:

The second plant pictured (pics 5-7) was originally an extra cut. She has been growing alongside the monster this whole time in a 3gal pot... She was a gift to a family member and fellow toker but said family member never cleared a spot in her backyard and so she went into flower with the monster. Also, she was leaning like a cholo till I staked her up... If I was planning on keeping her she would have been in a 7gal pot but w/e she is doing pretty well.

The veg room is 7 JTR alongside chronic and warlock seedlings (the warlock has been tiny this whole time w/e i guess), they'll be going into 3 or 5 gal pots soon and a couple hundred watts worth of CFLs will be added till I grab a second 400w.

My feeding schedule is currently twice a week, while I water everyday; Every weekend she gets the whole shabang with the appropriate soluble+liquids, midweek they all get the liquids... All foxfarm and everything is done at 3/4 dosage.
