Several of you guys are arguing about tax rates and who would do what. Please consider two points.

1. According to the GAO, what the USA has, spends, and collects is phony because of the silly accounting procedures the government offices use.
2. People with real money, move offshore when the tax rate moves above a certain amount. Real money stays in the USA if the tax rate is low enough, because money has been safer here historically.

The next president needs to encourage Congress to keep the tax rates the same or a little lower. Congress must stop the crazy level of spending. Congress has to do a better job of bookkeeping in order to figure out what the correct tax level should be.
Your absolutely correct. It isn't just the rich moving their money overseas, though. The black market opens up exponentially as tax rates increase. Especially payroll taxes.

If Ron Paul makes it through the primary process, I will fuck the idea. But currently I think his chances are poor. But, I am voting for him in the primary.
Apparently, his chances are slim, but his supporters are fervent. Analysts suggest that while he probably will never win, he is sure to do better than most would think. Ron Paul 08'

Armed vs. On paper. And anyway, you don't need the right to own a gun if you're going to shoot someone with it. In fact...fuck the rights. If you're part of a REVOLUTION you don't care about the previously endowed rights. Anyways, I can see this is not hte conversation for me, and i really don't care, so peace y'all.

(i know this is ignorant, i should care about politics...I just can't get myself interested in such a lame ass topic.)
I am not sure if I should steamroll you with facts and point out the OBVIOUS inconsistencies of your ignorant statements....or just let you go away.

Yea....after lookat your statement again I don't even think I could POSSIBLY choose which line I want to pick apart first. Pass go, and get your $200 while you still can, son.

Today is the day for the Iowa vote. I predict that Ron Paul will place third. Any takers? If he finishes third ... Fox will be eating crow for eliminating him from the debates. Keep yer fingers crossed. ~lol~

I wonder, but he has denied he would accept a vice presidency, so a third could be sudden death. I'd like to see him at least get a 2nd in some primary, that might let the powers know the natives are restless. We are going to caucas here in Nv. this mo. The first of these to come along. I'm going, might be interesting.

If our hero Ron Paul takes third in Iowa, the Associated Press will have an exclusive! They are the only ones following him.

New Hampshire, is a better chance for third.

Nice. That's all you can do. I think everybody will be suprised when the primaries start...He's going to get a big majority of new voters, who are not polled. A lot of democrats who love his message of freedom. And the entire anti-war Republican vote to himself. As well as the libertarian-leaning Republicans...I'm so fooking excited. I can't wait...And to top that off he has the most money to spend:mrgreen:. It's going to be interesting, for sure:blsmoke:
If Ron Paul takes fooking 4th or gawd-fourbid, tird, money will start to rain in buckets full.

Ron Paul took fifth in Iowa. This is unfortunate but not unexpected considering the massive MSM assault underway against the despised Paul.

Hopefully Hillary’s goose is quite cooked!!!

You're exactly right regarding the MSM and Ron Paul. With that said, he did suprisingly well getting 10% of the vote.

I watched the results on Fox last night ... and the comments were very good regarding Ron Paul. He got almost 10% of the vote in Iowa last night. The talking heads, mainly Greta Vansustren (sp) ... was talking about how pissed off the RP supporters are over Fox eliminating him from the next debates. Fox must have gotten tons of protest mail from RP supporters. The general consensus was ... perhaps Fox should include Ron Paul based upon his strong showing last night.

UUUHHHH, the general consensus is that to continue as a viable candidate, you must have garnered 15% of the vote, sorry R.P. guys, he failed. Since when is 10% a strong showing, Bah humbug.

YES!!!!!

I was rooting for Paul to get 4th, that would put him on the map. He is still running strong, though.

Wrong. The general consensus is:

1. Huckabee received the lion's share of conservative Christian vote
2. Barack brought out the young for "change"
3. Hillary showed strong, but needs to clobber Barack in NH, to survive
4. A couple weaker candidates will drop out.
5. "Crazy" Ron Paul will hang on till his dieing breath.

Analysis: wait until we see New Hampshire and South Carolina before anything is firm.

I agree, we should wait for a final analysis, but it doesn't look too promising for R.P. Go RP, Go.
