Hey all, I started my grow a few days ago but could not start a thread because computer was broken!! I finally got it back, and here I am!

Bagseed (3 seeds, 1 sprouted, other 2 were planted 4 days later)
CFL: 3 47w, 2700k, 2800 lumens, 150w equivalent
Total:
141 true watts
450 watt equivalent
8400 lumens

Fertilizer:
Schultz 10-15-10 (have not started it, will wait another week and a half or so)

I'm giving it 11 hours of dark and 13 of light.. i put a blanket over the grow box at night so i dont disturb the dark period.. I also forgot to mention I have made a carbon filter (the box on top of the pics) and seems to work great! temps only go up 1 or 2 degrees.
My temps stay at around 87-88 and by that I mean right at the plant which is 3 inches away.. I mist it two or three times a day.
So far its looking good.. Second set of leaves are starting to show.
Will post pics daily if possible!! Please help a noob out! hah!

To start you should place seeds in a glass of water in a warm dark place till you see a white root emerge. Then gently put them in soil at veg a week at 24 hour light. After first week switch to 18/6. You need to lower your temps to around 80. For the next few weeks you will have enough light but will need a bit more when they get bigger. Don't 12/12 till they have at least 4 sets of leaves.
That was the plan but I decided to go with a 12/12 hence I'm moving in a few months, and not too bad for a first grow.
I'm subbed up as well. Good luck!
Thanks.. Just smoked that Cuban I posted in the pic aboove, feels good man :)

Concha is still growing, but very slowly.
It's on day 8 now and the trues are still very small. Is this normal?
Keep in mind I'm doing 12/12

Just a bit of advice while you are veggie your light spectrum should 65K lights, this will allow your plant to absorb more of the blue spectrum for growing so it should help with the rate of growth. The 27K is great for flowering. Hope this will help. Happy growing

Thanks man, I had them under 65k 24/0 for 3 days... then I decided to go 13/11 so switched to 27k

My growth is very slow, I might have a stunned growth, I can see grow over night but its minimal. The "trues" popped out 2 days ago and they are still very small, at the rate the plant grew the first few days I figured that by today the trues would be bigger by now but they're not. Could this be because its on a 12/12 seed? (Although I've seen other 12/12 seeds that were ahead of my baby at the same age)

Pics coming soon (phone quality :( )

Since Concha was growing so slow (day 10 and second set of trues were very tiny.. look above) I decided to nute it at 1/4 strength 10 days in. I took a risk but was it worth it? YES. I went to dinner and hung out with my girl and when I came back a seed I planted 3 days ago popped up AND Concha grew significantly! I will post pics tomorrow, they are sleeping at the moment.

found pic on my phone.. bad quality.. sorry

notice on the pic above (post 11) how the little oval leaves are bigger than the second set coming out.. and this pic, the second trues are bigger than the ovals.. if it makes sense.. im blazed

oh and in real life, the plant looks ABSOLUTELY 100% healthy.. strong, green, "thick", no spots..

Hey all, a quick update.
Been giving nutes at half the strength but for the next watering (in 2-3 days) I will give it nutes at 100%.
She looks extremely small for 20 days but very healthy. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or maybe its a slow growing strain?? (bagseed).
Could anyone help me out?? I should be seeing sex within next few days but her being this small I don't think I will..
Just to refresh and see if I'm missing anything:
3-47w 27k cfl's
Temps at 80-85
Hum at 35-45 (ive had it drop to 25!)

Not sure what's happening.. not sure If I should pull the plug or wait it out. It's been 20 days and she is tiny.
I was doing 13 light 11 dark and today I finally went to 12/12 and keeping it there. Could this be a reason for the size? I know we want shorter rather than longer plants but eh..

Please help me decide her faith!

dont feed it with full strength nutes it doesn't need it yet, good luck on your grow
thanks darth, any idea on what is causing the slow growth?

Also.. the bottom ovals are dried and wrinkled up now (just example of how far along it is, yet.. small)

how often do you water? if you water to often you could suffocate the roots or if its warm rot them and that will stunt and eventually kill your plant. it will grow faster on a 18-6 lighting schedule. also mabey heat could be a factor though probally not put a fan on it. hope this helps some

Thanks.. I water when the soil is dry which is every 4-5 days and the plant seems to love it!
I just checked the plant for sex and VIOLA!!!! It's too early to see if its a male or a female but I should know within the next few days, there is def something (either pistil or balls) at the bottom of the plant! I looked with a magnifying lens but too early to tell.

Does taking the plant out of the grow box(light hours) to check it and attend it bad? Does it stress it out? I ask because I HAVE to take it out to care for it like water it and check for spots, etc.

Here is a drawing of what it looks like (obviously not to scale but basically shows where it is positioned)

The little circles are the oval leaves, which are yellow/brown now. The dark line is where the pistil/ball is.
I'm excited, hopefully its not a false alarm.
