sorry late with the pics... and the pics were taken 3 hours late... I normally take pictures at the same time daily, these were 3 hours late.

I have 6 cfls now, I could easily add more of course, I have bulbs and sockets right there for them, but temp will get fucked up but for right now 6 works.

and there is currently 6 plants in there, the 3 newest and unnamed, this is its day 1 picture.

soo
Day 13 - 01/01/08 [Plants Alpha - Chi]
Day 1 - 01/01/08 [The 3 unnamed plants]
all 6 are juicy fruit bagseeds... but my bro just brought up an intersesting point, the person this comes from, grows all sorts of types of bud all in the same general area, and there are the occasional seeds, there could be some cross polination, that could be why all 3 of the first set are growing entirely differently, I am 99.9% sure they all came from the same bag of juicy fruit.

PS...
i still need to transplant the other 2 plants, they are the good ones, one is doing very well... i would like to only transplant them this one time, and have them stay in the bucket all the way until chopping... how big should it be? please I need an answer... they will be vegged for 2 - 2 1/2 months... then flowered.

Comments wanted...

and the last pictue is alpha on day 13 its got no hope its in the biggest container just taking up room... my other plant chi, the one thats the biggest needs it, i could dig up the one in the big bucket, kill it, and transplant chi into there... because I really dont need the extra plant there thats not growing at all, I have plenty of healthy others... hell i have a cup with 3 sprouts i planted just because i germinated extras, i could transplant them, killn of a plant that looks like day 3, and is actually 10 days older isnt bad...

i dont transplant anymore.
i cut down on the stunting and internal growing, main root etc.

I start all my seeds in large pots, if need be I take out the whole thing and drop it into a huge pot.

if they dont take, i just plant another seed right into the pot.

I'm still working out the temp thingy, I stopped using the 600 watt hps ( was a waste at this time) and the cfls dont put out enough of the heat to heat my closet past 70 degrees.

so i plugged all the cracks and am watching it rise..

still waiting on my white widow seeds, been a week, shouldnt be long now.

had an idea about your situation with an enclosed closet you cant modify.

trying to make a proto type of a closet ventilator.

Pictures were taken an hour and a half early today, and will be tomorrow as well.

I really think its time to just knock off alpha... its so sick... only 2 sets of leaves, the first set completely dead, second set very deformed... and its 2 weeks old, I bet these new sprouts outgrow it in 5 days.

But Chi, the biggest of them all, has some weird discoloration on its first set of leaves... its been like that awhile... and hasn't seemed to spread... but it looks really odd...

Day 14 - 01/02/08 [Plants Alpha - Chi]
Day 2 - 01/02/08 [The 3 unnamed sprouts]

First pic is Alpha, should be killed... haha... second is the group shot, third and forth both are focused on chi.

The weird coloring on the leaf of the biggest plant, Chi, is spreading... it could be because it needs to be transplanted... I am not sure there are enough-big enough holes to drain, only 2 about the width of a toothpick.

I want to transplant Chi into the final container, there will only be this one transplant... I am unsure of how big to go... its a stab in the dark for me, and I will end up going way overboard without help deciding haha... I will try to take pics of my current containers, buckets, and such... but I will need to find more bigger containers, any suggestions of where to go?

AHHH Chi is majorly drooping and the leaves look weird. Temps got up to 88.6 degrees at the air the second plant was getting, Chi was getting the hottest air that had blown past the other lights. I unplugged the humidifier, without it the humidity should hopefully stay at 50%... I have never left it unplugged before so I don't know if the humidity will drop like a rock or not haha...

But the temps are down to 84 at the last plant now, and I rearranged the plants, Chi in front, and aimed the CFL with can reflector at it, and its getting light from the 26w as well. I am keeping the lights a bit farther away though, to see if it really is heat stress thats wrong.

I didn't water today, or yesterday... and I am almost sure I didn't water the day before... the soil is still kinda moist.

The transplant is still needed... I didn't get pictures though... but know anywhere I could get some pots?

First pic is the overview before I rearranged it, 2nd pic is beta, 3rds a close up of alpha... wtf is happening in the middle??? its been like that for days... and the last is one of the weird leafs on chi...

Day 15 - 01/03/08 [Plants Alpha - Chi]

Thanks for the tips, I have no knowledges of cloning whatsoever... but I have read about a lot of people doing it, sounds interesting and timesaving... yesterday I was actually considering, that when this gets to around the 2 month point, I would plant 8-10 more sprouts, and flower them with all the others...

but that would mean 3-5 sprouts would actually be female... if they even flowered correctly as a sprout... which they should right?

so if I take clones, I take them from a plant thats flowering and has shown its female? so the clones will be female when they are flowered? or what? do I clone it when its vegging and if the clone mother goes female all the clones taken from it should be female or what?

I have also never seen any of the cloning supplies around here... whatever you gotta root it with and such... stores around here are Lowes, Home Depot, and Walmart... so far I have yet to see any gardening crap there over the winter... but maybe in about a month and a half when im ready to flower?

I just hope it doesn't get messed up plants start droopn, leaves discolor, leaves fall off, and then its dead... which seems to be slowly happening to 2 of the day 15 plants.

- Just read the first thing in GrowFAQs bout watering... so underwatering would cause the leaves to droop... and it has been 2-4 days without water... most likely 3-4. And it does feel like most of the weight is at the bottom... exactly what it mentioned... I think it is time to water em.

it's sooo simple.

go to wall mart, well it's winter so your screwed, but if you can find a garden supply, get a cloning powder or gel.

take clones off a veging plant, otherwise you must wait 10 days to 2 weeks for it to stop the flowering stage and veg and another 2 weeks for it to root.

just grab some branches 5 or 6 inches long, cut them off, trim the bottom 3 inches of any leaves, wet that part, dip it in the gel/powder and plant it.

it has no roots so keep the soil moist and spray the leaves with water, in 10 days to 2 weeks it'll be a carbon copy of the mother.

figure out whats female first or do several clones of each plant, then flower the mother and then you'll know whats female clones or not.

it's almost screw up proof, keep them wet and they will root. i put mine under 24 hour light to speed it up.

Thanks for the tip... I have combed through Walmart already, nothing... but I think it was because they turned the gardening section into a christmas section... and now that christmas is over... they should bring back what used to be there... gardening... haha right? hopefully.

dude go to lowes they have cloneing poweder there thats where i got mine it wokrs fukin great too.. i prefer powerder over gell .. seems to work better for the fact that the powder makes like a paste on the cut and stays on there longer then the gel .

I looked at Lowes last time I went and couldn't find anything... took me almost an hour to find the real lightbulb section, instead of the random lightbulbs sitting around the lighting section... the lightbulb section was in an unlabeled isle at the very back of the store... near where I think gardening used to be... but that area was a desert... shelfs empty mostly... only like 1 shelf with some insect control stuff in it for your yard.

I dont think I have ever found the gardening section at Lowes.... is it outside or what? What do they do over Winter? and do they sell soil when its winter snow on the ground? I may take another trip up there later.

Alright I will go there again ASAP... I might have just been too blazed... took me half an hour to find the real section that had all the bulbs... nowhere near the Lighting aisles haha... but yeah hopefully I find it... is there any nutes or anything that I could use and get at Lowes?

I think the humidifier is causing problems... temps get to 89 now if I leave it on. If I turn it off humidity seems to balance at around 50%... weird, before I had like a million cups of water with towels dipped in them and nothing, if anything humidity dropped haha... humidifier works well... just gets the place way too hot... temp should be around 82 right now.... imma check soon. But I think they were underwatered and heat stressed ontop of that they have to be transplanted ASAP ... and I still dont have proper pots for both of them... I have no clue where to buy pots for plants... or how big of ones to get.

i just got back from lowes, the xmas stuff is gone and the garden stuff is fully stocked.

they have the powder, I like the powder also.

i picked up some peat pots and 10 more light bulbs. they're stocking new mini lights but they are not blue.

I checked every new light they have, the one girl was laughing, I kept going to the light display and unscrewing bulbs and trying the cfls.

ended up getting the same, daylight bulbs.6500k 3 for 10 bucks.

ha yaa i went to a local plant shop in town and they usually have old plastic pots u can use they are cheap i picked up my 5 gallon pots for like .35cents each... and your whole humidity problem man .. i dont even use a humidifier for my plants ...they only htings that acurtally really needs itare the clones man (thats where the wal-mart bakery thing comes in like i told u) other than that ... i dont use it ... whatever .. some ppl are do critical when it comes to growing ... but if u think about it .. its a plant ... water, Light, And soil ... or clay pellets if u grow hyrdro/rockwool... pretty much it .. i use soil and make my own hyrdro systems ... both are good but i prefer teh taste of soil budd ....more potent in my opoion ....if u have any questions man .. just ask ... ill try to answer them ..if i can't im sure theres someone onthis site that can haha

Theres like no gardening places around here... last summer there was pots sold at dollar general, but none of them were really the right size... they had massive ones, and fairly small ones... I cant seem to find a nice medium sized pot big enough for the plant to be in until chopping...

haha the lighting section at the Lowes near me sucks... theres not even 1 CFL that has its color spectrum labeled... and the CFLs start at $7 ea... and go up to like $26 ea.

are peat pots those really small square things that can be put right into soil when your read? because I need some...

and yeah... doesn't seem like I will be needing the humidifier anymore... humidity isn't extremely dry anymore like it used to be... where I would have to water the plants once a day and that wasn't even enough.

oh yeah, I think I will start making bold comments when I water... so I can remember when I watered... haha soo..

Day 16 - 1/4/8 - Plants Alpha - Chi thoroughly watered. Felt slight weight at the bottom of the cups, but the top sections completely dry.

peat pots are those things you put right into soil, i use the round ones that swell when you add water, there are shit loads at lowes right now as you walk in to the store from the garden center. they have 12 packs, 72 packs and the same in the seed starter plastic containers.

the lights are hidden at lowes, go to the lamps section by the ceiling fans, go up and down every isle looking at head high shelves, they have the 26 watt daylight version 6500k 3 packs for 10 bucks, those are the blue ones, the other section has no blue, I checked, trust me.

i bought 3 more packs and might go buy the remaining 4 tommorrow just so I have them.

look for the blue lable ones, or ask someone.
the 26 watt daylight type cfls.

it says on the container.
