Tell Me What You Think Of Barney's Farm..

Ok, so i'm posting this here instead of in the Seed & Strain review as i thought it was more of a spot to tell stories of triumph or utter dissapointment rather than a spot to write a complete review.

I'll go 1st - I think Barney's Farm is a disgrace, they have Hermie numbers that are too high for the most amatuer breeder (let alone a supposedly reputable seed company).

I now put it to you - the good people of RIU to post your opinions / comments and let others know ur story so that they may be better guided in ordering their seeds.

Never ordered from Barney's but have ordered seeds from the following banks:

Nirvana Seeds - Had some excellent results but have had a lot of hermie's recently.. hit & miss
Sensi Seeds - Always get excellent results, beautiful strong plants, super genetics, expensive though
White Label Seeds - Same as Sensi good strong plants but pricey
The Joint Doctor - Just finishing 1st grow with great results.. out of 3 regular seeds all 3 have been female so far

I grew out a 5 pack of BF Violator Kush, all of them germed and grew, 1 of the 5 was head and shoulders above the rest . I selected her as a Mother and have been cloning from her and her ancestors since.
My germ rate was 100% w/ the VK and everyone I share it with falls in love with it. Rock hard flowers that get so heavy in the main cola they require staking or tying. Super frosted, dense beautiful colas, I cant complain.

Dont have any experience with their other strains, but Ive also run gear from DNA Genetics, Reserva Privada, GHSC, and G-13 Labs. I'd put them above GHSC but below DNA and RP, about equal w/ G-13

I probably wont be ordering from their lines again, more interested in gear from Female Seeds (Ice, Bubblegummer) and Next Generation (Grapegod, Sweet Island Skunk)

barneys bollock factory we refer to em as. wont ever buy a single bean from them. releasing stuff without the proper back breeding, i can chuck some pollen onto a girl and do better myself

i've tried a good few different seed companys , barneys farm were the worst, fat fruity my arse, freaky little miniture shrubs . total crap. and cos they are "souveniers" complaints are not an option.
i have had nothing but good strong uniform plants from sensi. i now try not to stray from them, but those damn pics on the seed sites are tempting. anyhow yeah barney's farm sucks lol

well i grew a couple of barney's farm bluecheese last year and absolutely loved the taste. so of course this year i germed another seed along with 1 of big buddah bluecheese to test them both side by side. they are both curing now so havnt tried but they both smell the same. i also have clones from both that are in round 2 grow now.
so far of the 3 seeds of barney's bluecheese, all 3 germed and grew the same

i grew the blue cheese too. wasn't totaly shit, though it smelt like diahorrea/puke. but it wasnt what i'm used to, as in plant vigor. i also done their "nightshade" . again the puff was potent but the plant was shite, low yielding n not good fun to grow

all i ever ordered from barney's was red diesel. the seeds looked a little immature. 4 out of 5 germed and they were all male. i got a bunch of freebies from them from the tude promo in april. i haven't grown any yet but they look immature as well.

Seems the majority of us dislike Barney's..
Smoke & Coke - I think u must have got real lucky or got in early.. The majority of Blue Cheese from this year have been herming up on people..

wow that sux cause i was planning on ordering more of them too. the ones i purchased were from the tude about 1 1/2 years ago. well if the big buddah bluecheese is even close to the same, i will get more of those.

i also hear that bluberry has a good chance to hermie so maybe the cross they made was bad for this years seeds.

I'm just about finished with a Barney's grow. 3 LSD and 3 Red Dragon . 100% germination and female. The Red Dragons were consistent growers, took a lot of nutes, no leaf issues at all. 2 - 3 ounces per plant under a 400W. I only grew out two of the LSD. More problems with getting the nutes right on these, but the buds are dense and large. One of them had the claw pretty bad for the last five weeks, but it still gave me 1.5 oz. The other showed no sign of clawing. I'm doing Vanilla Kush next.

oOBe RyeO0 well i only see about 5 people that say not to buy any of barney farm seeds. before you fully make a decision wait it out and check back to see if others are having better luck.
i have been wanting to get the violator kush but instead this year for my kush strain i went with reserve privada's kandy kush. still in cure so no smoke report on it yet. but smells nice. heck i did 7 different strains this year and they all smell great.

all the people that are bashing barney's beans, what seedbank did you buy from?

Yeah I was thinking of trying like 7 of their strains so idk, guess I'll just stay subscribed here and see what people say. Just saw a Cheese x NYC Diesel that looked tasty. I like me some Diesel!

i grew out the big buddah chiesel that is some really smelly stuff. i cant wait till i can try that out.

ive grown out 3 strains from barneys, vanilla kush, 8 ball kush, and LSD.

no complaints, other than the LSD seems pretty unstable, i got 4 phenos from 5 seeds.
the vanilla kush exceeds expectation, and the 8ball kush... im really really trying hard to figure out why barney's discontinued the strain because it is one of the most vigorous potent kush's ive ever run across.

this is just my own experiences, ive heard horror stories from people about barney's farm too, so it makes me wonder if ole barney is using some shoddy beeders, and some good ones. ive never had anything but the highest success with them, but a friend that ordered the vanilla kush at the same time i did, got 5 males when they should have beed fem'd... so i guess its a roll of the dice.

Does stuff like this happen with all breeders or just Barney's?
