I cruise these boards a lot, I can, I have the time. I see a lot of confusion that can be cured for about $25.00.

Keep in mind, you don't have to listen to a word I print, lot's of Guru's round here that will share their knowledge and I applaud them for that. But for chrissakes, a lot of you need to study the basics instead of asking these same questions over and over again. Now if you are too lazy to use the "search" option to find the answer by scrolling through hundreds or thousands of posts to find the answer then this gig may not be for you. Here's why,,,,,,,,,,,

You are relying too heavily on others knowledge and you will never learn first hand by your own experience. You need to learn to "read" your plants and your growing environment.

I will gladly help out with every aspect of growing except for the specifics of my nutes. That's my one and only secret. Well, beside the BBQ Sauce Recipe, but that's handled by others now and leaves me my time to grow and experiment.

But if I see the same question from different people I just cruise on by and keep my opinion to myself.
Like a good asshole should.

I won't bother you with pics of my shabby lil' grow in this post. But I'd be interested in how many actually do check out my pictures (tons of them).

But then again, I'm talking to a bunch of stoners out there who will probably scoff this ol' mans words cause what in the hell does he know. Right? Riiiiight.

Read up, Learn up, Build up, Grow up.

I've been trying to say the same damn thing for the past few months.

people just keep asking basic "common sense" questions.. that if they would search the forums.. they could easily find the answer to most of them.

But, after all.. it is a forum site.. and we're here to help answer questions.

But on the same page.. again.. people keep asking the same basic 'common sense' questions over and over and over and again.. and yeah it does

get old seeing the same questions asked over and over and over again..

I dunno. I don't mind answering questions.. but when it comes to flat out 'common sense' questions.. I don't even attempt to help those people.

Lastly, my only advice for the "new growers" that I would have.. is read and read and read some more. I still to this day, sometimes have questions.

So that just goes to prove that reading does teach you something new each time you do it.

I have not been here that long and YES we do see the same questions beeing asked over and over ... BUT not by the same guy

The advice about the book is good ...and i myself may try and steal it from a library at some point in the near future ... But talking of common sence ... If you see the same questions ... just dont reply ...itas that simple

It's sad but true , the world lacks people with common sence .... But can you imagin how empty this place would be if it never ? lol

Get back in your growrooms you miserble old farts and leave the mindless common sence lacking noobies alone

I honestly thought doing my research was watching a couple dozen you-tube vids...lol.. I mean its just a plant, how hard can it be...lol... Anyways , Thanks

in addition to the wonderful book by patton (sp) i would also recommend that you also read a plant specific book for what you are trying to grow: weed specific i like the cervantes indoor medical grow book it covers a bunch of stuff, greg green's book is also good, there are a bunch of type specific books like for strawberry or tomatoes or orchids ect... read all you can, and then you can get your grow where *you* want it without having to feel like a noob all the time... then you can ask all those awesome questions which the oldtimers like like "how hot can i run my nutes if i'm growing in coco and hydroton with 600 watt hps and co2 injection at 88* heat"... just my two cents...

I would also like to thank all of you experianced growers for your advice, even on the stupid ass questions. I find that most of my questions that I ask could be found on the internet but the tricky thing about that is you can find 10 different answers for the same problem. So this is my first grow and I have come to the shitty conclusion that I will be lucky if half of my plants live, but I know I will get better with exp and with your guys help.

Once again thanks for any help you guys offer up. And it also pisses me off when people post problems with no pictures!

great thread, been saying the same thing for awhile, but this forum seems to have a life of it's own

you can however reach a few people with good info and that is very rewarding

and for you new growers if you read all my post, I have pretty much answered every question there is here (at one time or another)
