no there is not anything wrond with rhythm guitarists but imo its best to have it all down but then again i havent found a lead guitarist that cant play rhythm. I was just pointing out the reason why they are not talked about as much.Nothing wrong with rythym, some guys just prefer to stay out of the spotlight, like malcolm young, or john paul jones or even steve winwood. To name three gifted musicians off the top of my head.

Well there is also plenty of bands where the lead guitarist sings, such as necrophagist. here is a vid example. totally insane hard shit to play while singing. i have seen this band live and it was pretty sick. Saying rhythm players are not talented musicians is ridiculous, they have to keep in time and know what the other members are doing while following along improvisations. And I'm sure lead guitarist get tons of chicks, but if these said chicks are out banging dudes in bands they probably don't care too much what instrument they play.
