Negative Ions Good For POT??

So let me query you all.....are they good for the plants? What do you think? Any experience??
I have a honeywell negative ion generator going on practically all the time, and I think it's good...

Negative ions are supposed to be good to combat smell. I dont have experience with a generator, but that's what Ive read

Well it is normally after a thunder storm the negativley charged ions make shit grow crazy or it could just be the perfect summer sun and some water ehhh.
