hey Dan, as a Canadian living in Germany I can tell you the 'clashes' between Muslim immigrants and locals are more media obsession than reality. All that's happened in the decade I've been here are isolated attacks on non-white immigrants by right extremists, which are widely resisted by the general population. Most people are too smart to fall for the racist 'they're stealing our jobs' bullshit, etc.

Trust me, Europe is NOT being overrun by Muslim immigrants - the city I live in is so white its scary, way less ethnic than anywhere in North America.
