hello everybody, I am a total rookie and I have been growing with cfl's for about two months now. my veg went great (thanks to a bunch of you who took the time to explain and teach me!) I have done a bunch of reading and I was torn about cutting fan leaves or not. well I decided to cut them off. i have been flowering for 12 days now and have very many bud sites and the leaves were in the way. I was using CFL's to flower(2700k) and i don't think i was using enough. my plants were looking deprived. maybe it was shock maybe not. on the 9th day of flowering I installed an LED light. since then my plants have looked great. People were right though, LED's do not penetrate the leaves well. So I cut em off!(not all, but a bunch) I can now see very bright light all the way to the dirt. and yes, i grow in dirt. And I also use nutes. My questions are:
1. what do people think of cutting the fan leaves once the plants starts to bud?
providing I am feeding the nutes.
2. will my CO2 be less effective with less fan leaves?
3. Attached is photos of my leaves, can someone please tell me why the tips are curled and why so flat? and yes, they looked this way before i cut them off. they looked worse before I put the LED light on. I am hoping they look like this due to insufficent lumens.
Thank you all for reading my very long message!
