very cool. did you release those yourself?
No, I was out there admiring the volunteer colony of Praying Mantis's, that seems happy enough to never leave.:hump:
When my brother stumbled across this Assassin bug scoring breakfast.
Too cool not to grab the camera.
cut the flowers off if you want bigger tobacco leaves
Yes, thank you.
I do pluck off many flowers but was interested to see it bloom and now I have a fresh stock of my own seeds.;-)
damn thats savage SS
Definitely.
It amazes me how many organisms must die in order for 1 to survive.

Thanks.
I took that with my little still camera.
Then my brother had the great idea of switching to video!
Too, bad I didn't have my DVD camcorder in hand. It has cinema quality resolution.

People are always stealing plants.
Come harvest time, rippers are a dime a dozen around here.
Last year a local grower shot one on his way out of his yard!
Hopefully this year is uneventful.

SLH x BK is getting very resinous and smells something like fermenting fruit.

If you look closely(and I bet you will), you can see a despicable caterpillar and a small housefly.
The fly looks to be the victim of one of the many Assassin bugs that have taken residence in my bushes.

I subsequently found a total of 5 baby caterpillars upon closer inspection.:fire:
