Anyone know of the best doc office to get my card near metro detroit i am on disability i heard it is cheaper if u are on disability is that true? any replies appreciated

I don't know if the Doctors can be covered under disability...but the state fee is 25 like rzza said. My doctor would of gave me the okay, but with him it's either MMJ or vicodin, but not both. Weird huh. So I had to pay the 200 at MMMC. I think if I would of had my Doc. fill out the paper work, it would have been covered with that visit. Not sure though. But I have too many injuries to give up the pain pills...so I paid the $200. Good luck to ya

i dont think its weird, its responsible but did you ask for mmj for pain? cuz thats what the pills are for so t makes sence hehe so are you saying though that you chose the pills? or just went somewhere else LOL?

Well with my Doctor , he just kinda laughed when I told him that I had been smoking . He's been my Doc since my accident in 2005, and when I was receiving Workmans Comp. I didn't tell anybody shit...due to my place of employment at time of injury was a MIOSHA drug free work place..I didn't want to bring any attention to myself untill settlement was over. So by the time I talked to my Doc. about MMJ, he had already been treating me for pain for 4 years. He just smiled and said " If the smoke helps, then you don't need pain pills?" I tried to tell him it's the combination of BOTH that really does the trick..lol...but I didn't want to push the subject too far...he's been real good to me over the years....so I just had him give me a copy of my med. history. injury report, and took my paperwork to MMMC in Southfield and paid the $200. Really though...I do need both. I had a 60 ft fall in 2005...so the pain is kinda everywhere sometimes. Stay stoney...peace

I was just being a smart ass when I said I thought it was weird...I accually agree with the Doc. in most cases.
i went to dr neumann on 18 and van dyke, 200 bucks with records (i have crohns disease)...didnt wana go pay that much but my dr's wouldnt sign my app, they both said it was cuz of the lack of info on side effects...i told them both cuz there are no side effects and they just laughed. anyway, i wouldnt go back to neumann, i was at his office for a total of 5 hours! 3 and a half hours was just waiting to see him.

I am 19, and I am slowly going through the process for SSI, and I just got my med card. The application fee is 25 rather than 100 like everyone else was saying but the doctor visit is still the flat 200 if you do not have insurance, which I currently do not. :\
And Rowl, my surgeon still gets me a script of 90 vics every 22 days, as for the maryjane, I got from the physican only thanks to doctor patient confidentiality. The only reason I do that is because that usually pays for an oz of some decent meds for me. I haven't quite found a good person to go through yet, everyone is too pricey. :\ I was thinking about growing myself but my mother doesn't approve of it, and I don't know if I should have my aunt do it. :\

Deprave, thanks for the info I live in north Oakland county. Like an idiot I asked my doctor to sign my mmj form and he told me NO. Then I requested the clinical notes from my last 3 visits and in them he made it sound like I don't have problems. I have 3 ruptured disks in my neck from a auto wreck with a drunk driver, when I hurt I really hurt.

Went to Dr. Scott Graves, nice guy. I arrived an hour early and it still took 3.5 hours. GG
so is it possible that i could use this doctor to get a card? I am a fat old man with lots of problems--diabetes, almost certainly, arthritis, bad knees that ache and pain me. But I have not been to a doctor in 10 years. I do not particularly like them.
How can I get a card with the mimimum of hassle and expense? What would go down if I get an appt with this doctor named above? Could he write me a reccommendation that I could use in my card application? Or will I have to go to other doctors, too? Make more visits?

I feel for ya. I fell from a moving car onto a dirt road way back in '89 when I was young & dumb. I agree with you that it's the combo of vicodin and smoke that really does the trick. I have pain all over also, 6 herniated discs from my neck to my lower back, it sucks. I'm gonna have a discectomy in a couple of weeks and I'm getting some grape kush to supplement the pain meds.
I went to the MMMC in Brighton and paid the $200. It took about 3.5 months to receive it but, we were told by the on staff lawyer that as soon as our check cleared we were legal.

I agree, look at reviews first, I waited in line for over 4 hours waiting for mount morris. The Kind Tree is also located in Northern Oakland County In Oxford if it is closer to anyone. The Dr. charges $150 and its by appointment only so no waiting in long lines!

Funny thats pretty much what my Doc said, you must go to the same pain clinic. So where can I go for this card, yes i have a real pain issue, Hospital bills to go with it too. When I die someone better collect that Titanium.
