this girl was growin inside, then got put outside for a few days.. where it appears it has been cooked by the sun............ any help at all would be greatly appreciated and +rep

idk, i figured over fed yeahh... so i flushed it and brought it back indoors, anything i can do to bring it back to life? 4th week of flowering..
 
shes pretty close to 5 cfls right now, i think the sun toasted her.... could it be she was used to the cfls and the sun is just too much? also its been really really hott here the last couple days.. maybe heat stress? as far as i know there are no mites on it
 
Well on second thought, that 2nd picture looks a little more like mite a or/and thripe damage... Still wondering about the light...

I see pest spots also. Would take an awful amount of work to get her back. Still a big gamble. I would start from scratch with an autoflower. Clean everything first and spray the grow area with an insecticide. Read up on the proper way to HARDEN OFF a plant for the outside.
 
If there are no bugs than she has to be burnt.. In my opinion I'd just chop all the burnt leaves and buds and keep her going.. Shes young and that will be some harsh smoke if you chop her now... Dont get her leaves wet in the hot sun and maybe throw her under some netting or something for a week or so if you are going to keep her outside.. Good luck!

well i looked harder, and i still dont see any pests.... i gues im just gonna continue flushing her and hope for the best.. this is an extremely sad story for me as my others are all outdoor and wont be done for a while
 
Looks like it got a little overfed, but the sun definitely owned her. When I took my clones outdoors for the first time I put them in shade for a day. Then the next 3 days I put them in an area that had broken sun for about 4 hours, then the rest shade. Then I let them experience straight sun for about 4 hours a day. Then I let them have at it. CFL's have no comparison to the sun, I'm sure you realize that now :sad:. If your gonna leave it outdoors while your flushing, it needs to be in the shade probably all day untill it starts looking a little better.
 
You could also force flower an outdoor plant if your worried about not having any stuff for a while. I used to cover mine up with a trashcan untill it got dark, then uncovered them, or you could bring them indoors. Im now bringing them indoors and doing the 14hrs of dark to try and speed up the flowering time. Supposedly this works, but its going to diminsh your yield some from what I've read.
 
i see, well thanks for the replies and the advice... ill probably do the trashcan thing with a couple other clones i have... im worried they arent gonna flower in time as it is. im going to trim down most of the burned leaves and leave her inside, hopefully she recovers!

I would say nute burn and ph issues. The flushing you are doing if the best thing for it now. And I would just allow the affected leaves to fall off naturally.
 
yea i noticed as i was clippin some of the worst ones off that alot of them werent even attached anymore.. haha, could ph issues be because i water with well water? lately its been smelling like sulfur
 
ph probs can come from using tap water, or any water source for the most part. The fact that it smells like sulfur could be the main problem. Any ideas whats in that water?
 
It would be a good idea to go get some quick PH soil and water testers.. you will benefit from knowing that well water PH.. They sell cheap test kits for soil and strips for water any good hardware store nursery or hydro store.. I do still think its burn though, I just had a few that got fried under hot lights (looked very similar) and the shorter ones did fine with the same PH, But you really never know till you do some trouble shooting and testing. It could be all of the above.. ;)

Oh ya, try to filter the water if you can....

Thats good advice. With well water you can usually get it tested by your local health agency for free or very cheap. Its really good to know the complete mineral content. As most well water is high in calcium. So you can adjust your feeding program accordingly. High calcium content can cause many issues. Of course the sunbake didnt help. But I have a feeling some issues were already in the making. It just brought it all to a head.

And never use water from the hot tap. It most likely contains calcified lime which will cause ph issues beyond return in most cases.
