Alaska Morbloom

I'm currently using Alaska fish emulsion in my gardens and on my plants-- and they love it. I've seen that they also have Alaska Morbloom fish fertilizer-- N.P.K. is 0-10-10. Has anyone used this through their flowering phase? Just curious, thanks.

I HAVE! I also use the fish fert for veg.
My plant is only 14 inches, but its coming out nicely, I stopped feeding nutes today.

It works decently, but next grow I'm going with fox farms. Its great stufff on a budget though.

be weary if you want to use 100 percent organics and you dont want to hurt your micro life in the soil.. alaska moore bloom has salts

Yeah I read on another site that OMRI wouldn't call it organic because of that, thanks for the heads up. As I've already ordered it I guess I can't officially call my grow organic. Thanks

Yeah the fish emulsion doesn't smell any better, and still stinks when diluted. But it works great. Cheers.

Yeah, the Morbloom is a fish emulsion fertilizer as well and that's exactly what it smells like; some nasty fish.

Thanks ODB. I've been using Alaska fish emulsion ferts.(5-1-1-), and I recently found out that it's also not technically organic either-- at least it's not according to OMRI. I've already ordered all my nutes, so I guess this isn't going to be an organic grow now. Hindsight is always 20/20-- next time around I'll be more wise in my choice of nutes. Thanks again.

Not really all "chemies" fella. Morbloom contains muriate of potash and phosphoric acid. Both are naturally occurring. Muriate of potash is a salt deposit left over from ancient seabeds, it contains 40-60% potash. muriate of potash is not as gentle as sulfate of potash on new roots, only in large doses. And we all should know that phosphoric acid is natural, it may be a "chemie" but shouldn't be villified like chemicals in MG. Morbloom is made of natural minerals, which arent considered organic, although they are derived from the earth. You can say you grew all naturally, but just not organic.

Emulsions are made with heat, so some nutrient value is cooked or killed. I like the fish and seaweed blend the best (2-3-1). I use it at end of veg and 1st week of flowering with fox farm big bloom. For flowering I'd ditch the morbloom, if you want organic. use Indo bat guano and something with high P-K. If you dont care, use that morbloom with bat guano. Just use morbloom at 1/4 strength so it wont hurt the bacteria from the guano and the plants roots.

I received an email today saying that the ferts. I'd ordered were not going to be available until September. I was a little pissed bc it took them almost two weeks to tell me this!

Sooooooooo, it looks like I'm not getting the Morbloom like I had planned, but I am going to go to a local greenhouse and nursery to see what nutes they have. I can only hope they've got something that's a good N.P.K. for flowering.

What is the optimal N.P.K. for the flowering stage? Thanks.

Anything with more P and K in it than N will be good for flowering, but some things are better than others. I just purchased some Morbloom the other day and will start using it now, and at 0-10-10 it should work great to get some really big buds. I'm hoping!

Most nurseries have the Neptune's Harvest, although at my local store it was considerably more expensive than the Morbloom, so if price is a concern that's something to think about. Their seaweed formula was like $25 for a quart vs $8 for Morbloom

It's definitely an instance of you get what you pay for. Neptune's Harvest organic products are produced using a cold extraction process which preserves all nutrient and micronutrient values. Alaska Fish products are subjected to intense heat in their processing (emulsion), which destroys many valuable micronutrients.

I dont like alaska products. For sure get another brand that is hydrolyzed and not an emusion. Ive added the alaska morbloom to my compost tea, and it killed all of the foam that was on top, and didnt smell to great. So I stopped using it, and switched to high P bat guano.

Yeah, I quit Alaska products after reading what happens to them with the heat for emulsion purposes process.

I use Neptune's Harvest fish hydrolysate in my AACT recipes. After 18 hours of brewing at 75° there's negligible fish odor.

My outdoor plants loves both Alaska fish emulsions and they work great. I've used it in indoors as well. The soiled fish smell is tolerable(and I'm vegetarian too and will go away in a hour after watering. Bugs around here hate 'em though. Haven't had a much of a bug problem since using this stuff.

No disrespect intended but I'm always curious as to why posters would pitch non-organic supplements in an organic forum.
