My First Harvest

Popped a seed outside in mid May with no intentions of growing it out. More or less wanted to see if it would sprout. It did, and after a rough few months indoors, she is harvested. Overwatering, nute burn, more nute burn, light smashing her and splitting the main stem shortly into flowering and thripes. She was a shade of green I haven't seen much of around here. lol

Seed was from a bag of ok stuff, but had about 20 seeds in it. I remember not being too happy with the weed, so not sure why I kept the seeds, but glad I did. I tried to treat her right, but not knowing what I was doing, it didn't work well. lol

I took a bud off yesterday and dryed it overnight in an envelope next to a satellite reciever. Smoked it this afternoon and got a really nice heady high. Couch Lock seems to be the norm around here. I checked the trichs on the buds and they were mostly cloudy with some clear. I have a feeling most would say I chopped early? But I chopped her and it felt FANFUCKINTASTIC!!

I am not expecting much of a yield, but that is ok. Very glad to have what I have and knowing it will only get better with a proper dry/cure makes me very HAPPY! :weed:

Here's some pics of her life through harvest. 234w of CFL
Pic 1, June 5th.....Pic 2, June 28th.....Pic 3, July 14th.....Pic 4, Aug. 1st.....Pic 5, Aug. 17th......Rest are of harvest.

not too bad for bagseed! what kind of lighting did you use? looks like if you left it for a couple more weeks the buds would have swelled more + more crystals.

Hey great harvest man. I prefer the head high also. And to each is own and we all harvest when we feel the time is right.

There was a total of 234w of cfl. I probably could have went a longer with her, but I was happy with the high I got and this is more of a 'get one under my belt' grow. I have a white widow or a white siberian for my next run, but will get a 150w HPS for flowering and yield will be more important. Thanks for the comments!

Still a great first grow though! I totally am with you on the "get one under my belt" attitude. I was going to scrap my first grow but am ending up sticking with it just to say I at least harvested something :D

Many times I wanted to scrap a grow. This last time I was going to toss out some TW that grew bananas 3 weeks before harvest, instead I killed it and made hash out of it.

I was a little worried about my drying conditions, as my fish tank adds to the humidity. But it has been around 73 degrees and RH of about 50-55% in the drying cab, so happy about that.

I know i'll be happy with the smoke, unless there is some major change from the test nugs to the finished product. Plus, I still have a bunch of beans left too so I can always grow another one later and wait her out. :)

I know they loose like 3/4 of there weight when dryed, but what about size? 3/4 also?

Everyone has there own preferences on when they like to pull the buds (head vs body high). I think that they were pulled a little early as well but still looks like a nice harvest for your first time for sure! Good job and your grows/buds should only get better from here on out!
