Magnifying dee trichomes?

Yoyoyoyo, im in my 4th week of flowering some pretty lil iranian g13s outdoors. This is my first grow ever. I see the buds forming nicely. Just wondering about how to tell when they are ready. I heard 50/50 white and brown hairs. But I also heard go by the trichomes. Ima go buy one of those 30X magnifiers for next visit. Just wondering what exactly to look for. Oh ya and if any one has experience wit the docs iranian g13, bout how many weeks of flower till harvest?Thanks all.

You are looking for the trichomes to go from clear to milky white. To your naked eye, it might look like snow. When the majority of them are milky white and some are starting to turn amber, you are there. check out this great guide FFD2 wrote about how to tell if your plants are ready for harvest....

Clear to milky white, gotchya. do you have a ratio of amber to milky white when you harvest. I thought I saw somewhere the more amber the heavier the stone the more milkys, the more head buzz or sumtin. I just want some normal weed, a combo of both i guess. Thanks for the link, ill def go through it.

i like comparing them to golf balls on tees once the milky comes on it is hard not to notice

its varies by how cough locked you wana get. No couch lock all cloudy maybe some amber. Other wise about 30% amber.
