I have used 600w and 1000w conversion setups before and they can't do what these LED's do, plus all the money I save on the power bill kicks ass! The lights pay for themselves in a year... or less. One unit for veg and flower, no switching bulbs. No replacing bulbs after a season... these fuckers last like 5 years of being on 24-7!

Well it sounds like a good deal.Cant beat saving money and getting the same outcome.

So breakneck, are you in on a scam with deserthydro? You are the only person I can find on the entire web who supports deserthydro.com.... You are also the only person on youtube who has created a video with deserthydro lights. I can tell by the surroundings... I see many videos using hidhut.com products but it seems to me that you bought some lights from china, started a website, and you are trying to scam money from people. Use http://websiteindepth.com/ to check website values and legitimacy. Deserthydro comes up with a worth of $54. Hidhut has a worth of about $3,300 along with 4hydroponics.com with a worth of about $5,100 who sell some of the same products as hidhut.com. Another point... no professional website is going to let their site go down for more than 24 hours. Deserthydro.com has been down for three days now because their server host has booted them from their server. None of this makes sense to me. All I'm saying people, this sounds like a scam.

Hey breakneck,

I'm starting a grow set-up very soon, in an 8x8 tent. I want to use two 300w tri-band leds for the room, do you think that is enough light? And also, where is the best place to buy them? That desert hydro site doesn't work.

This is lookin' very good, and I can't wait to see what happens next; I'm definitely subscribing. I really dig your photodocumentation technique; it seems very thorough and in the moment. Love to see lots of updates. I'm very interested in LED grows, and I've been very interested in LEDs for a while. I'm gonna be doing an all LED SoG setup hopefully as early as late fall for my very first grow. Good luck, good grows, and good bud, breakneck. ;-)

From what I've seen the LED's come nowhere close to the manufacturers claims like how their 90w LED is equal to a 400w HPS. It's more like 1 watt LED is equal to 1 watt HPS. It may look like the LED works better in veg but the HPS blows it away when it comes to the blooming phase. I've never seen an unbiased grow where a side by side test was done with the same strain and conditions and the LED beat the HPS. The HPS always wins when it comes to harvest weight. Please post a link or show some pics that prove me wrong.
