plants are coming along necely man. good call on holding off to lst after stransplanting. might want to give it at least a day. have you been using grow nutes?

peace
No nutes bro, just using the time released junk in the Miracle Grow soil. This is how the grow was done in the "Buds for Less" book by SeeMoreBuds (GardenKnowm on this forum) I based all of my setup on what was used in that book.

Well I started the LST today and it kind of felt like raising two pretty little girls and then introducing them to the international sex trade. They are so sad right now...

I have the lights down extra close for the night, they have plenty of food and water in the new soil from yesterday, all I can do is believe in the resilience of these plants that they will be strong and happy again tomorrow. Once the side branches all start pointing up and looking healthy I will begin the flower cycle. if all goes well I should be flowering by Wednesday.

Wish me luck :joint:

Your plants will be fine, they handle LST very nicely. CFLs should always be within 3 inches from the plant

Looking good so far.Prove to people that a good grow could be done without going out and spending 500 to a 1000 dollars.
Thanks Wyteberrywidow, I appreciate the words of encouragement.

I will have the day 17 and day 18 pics up tonight. I took pics last night but I was doing some other things and forgot to post them.

Plants are looking good after the initial LST. I will admit to being scared of killing them but they are doing exactly what they are supposed to. I plan to start flowering in the morning.

Plant 2 seems much larger over the last week than Plant 1. Plant 1 is short but bushy as hell so I'm not too sad there either.

Thanks for watching :joint:

Good stuff man, Nice LST. Seems as though you've figured out. Here in about a week things are going to start TAKING OFF growth wise! Get ready for the 12/12 stretch

When I checked on them this morning both girls had broken the thread I was using to train them and pointing to the sky :wall:

I had read a tutorial on another site on LST were the guy used pieces of wire coat hanger to "pin" the branches in a spiral around the pot. So when the lights came back on tonight they were looking good and healthy and I decided to torture them some more. We will see tomorrow if the girls pull the make shift stakes up, they go about 1-1 1/2 inch in to the soil on each side.

You will notice on the picture of Plant 2, I pulled up on the side of the root ball when bending her over, hopefully this doesn't bite me in the ass too much. The soil patted back down by me barely touching it. I didn't realize I had done it until after I took the pictures.

I've never grown anything and had never heard of LST until reading the journals in your sig. I think I have it figured out now. At this point though I personally don't know anything about growing "for sure".

This is becoming a fun new hobby. A hobby that gets me really stoned and saves me money? I sure fucking hope so :joint:

Grow is still looking good, I've heard good things about LST w/hangers. I use twine and screws for mine, but hangers seems like a good method.

I meant to do mine like yours dumpster but I tend to forget things when I'm stoned and I may have missed twine on my list. I tried thread when I realized I have everything but twine but that I found out, doesn't quite do it. I was trying to figure out what I could do tonight that didn't require another trip to the store. Hangers and wire cutters were available lol.

btw dumpsterkeeper I finally figured out where you got those cool looking bulbs in your avatar when I turned off the lights for the first time this morning :)

You should try using pipe cleaners to hold your plant in place. Just hook them under the pot rim and bend over the plant stem ... snip off any surplus with a pair of sissors and all is neat and tidy.

The fluffy stuff on the pipe cleaner is also gentle on the delicate new stems.
