pretty self-explanatory. i like this setup because it doesnt take up much room and costs less than 5 bucks to make. perfect for people who just want 1 or 2 plants in their grow space. first i spray painted the outside of the cup to light proof, then cut out the hole for the net pot, drilled a hole for the air tubing, and you're basically done. i ran out of rockwool so im tryin to see if this paper towel to DWC takes off just for fun. thanks for your time!

That is pretty cheap .. Cheaper than a 2 litter plastic bottle set up I once seen. QT is awesome.

yes lol 1$ for the drink so free cup basically lol. 4$ bucks for airstones and tubing. obviously the medium you choose to use will be the main expense.

That's awesome. I have a little mini DWC on the window-sill in the kitchen I made out of a TupperWare container.

I made a similar one using a small plastic coffee container . It's already RED .
I took a small air pump and stone from a old fish tank that was sitting in the shed .
Next I am thinking of making a small FLOOD and DRAIN from a pump from a old fountain I saw in my shed too .

i took it out of the paper towel when i moved it into the hydroton. it was only in the towel until it had rooted enough to transplant

you will be changing the water/nutes probably everyday 2 hours when it gets to flowering..

the roots will fill the entire cup and the plant will drink a half to a whole gallon of reservoir a day. Try changing to a flowering schedule immediately to prevent enormous root growth. Or prune the roots. Or transfer to larger reservoir when the time comes.

also, i just had a thought.. i think this would be a good alternative to vegging a couple plants in huge tubs, this would save a ton of nutes. or maybe im just crazy lol

since i dislike going from seed to hydroton (dwc), that would make a totally rad : dwc clone cup

...actually, it's the perfect size to get those roots nice & long before transplant to a larger bucket.

i'd imagine with that air pump, and some t's or a manifold, you could run several cups.

very cleaver & it would allow you to save on nutes.

very nice i've been trying to hatch a bubbler cloner system myself, was thinking of using a bunch of big plastic cups, 3" net pots, the tiny twin airstones you get at wal mart for like 39 cents, an air pump, a bunch of tubing and a bunch of t splitters.
