very nice i've been trying to hatch a bubbler cloner system myself, was thinking of using a bunch of big plastic cups, 3" net pots, the tiny twin airstones you get at wal mart for like 39 cents, an air pump, a bunch of tubing and a bunch of t splitters.
sounds good man let me know what it looks like when you make it

yes it is quite fun lol well i just painted the other cup and cut the lid so i just need to wait for the seed to sprout out of the paper towel again. :)

let's say your like me and use a tupa-ware box for cloning.
in said box, which holds 15, i use 2" net pots.

if i were doing this, for me, i'd stay with 2" net pots so that i could just drop right in.

now, flip to the cup.
root up your clone, remove net pot from cloner, drop right into cup, & wait for solid root growth.

and, you just free'd a space in the tupaware.

one net pot size, one collar size... for all ...assembly line style.

when nicely & properly rooted (long, hairy, white roots) just plant the entire 2" net pot into your 5 or 6 incher with the roots hanging out the bottom.

easy peasy time to roll a jeazy.

much love.
love experiments.

how about rooting the smallest clone you can (my smallest ever is a 3" clone) & busting straight to 12/12 in that cup?

get sum Dr. QT !

here it is today. seems to be growing fine so far :)
Nice thread tiger. Was just trollin the threads and stumbled on this. This is the shit. I just started tinkering with bubbleponics and its addicting. I know someone said it earlier and i agree, just for giggles and shits, flower that bitch right in there. I think you will be good if u keep the root mass under wraps, as everyone already warned. Peace and keep it growin bro, Keep us updated also.....GL'09

This is how you can start them out. I'm using small liter paint cups as the starter buckets. Of course you have to use the size top that you'll need later (big), because you can't get the roots out once they've grown, but it's a way to start plants without wasting so much nutes. I don't think people need the expense and hassle of sprayers/pumps because once the roots have gotten long they hang into the bucket anyway and then the air stone is the most important thing to keeping the roots happy.
