bingo!! it is called a passive intake, and it creates a negative pressure in the cabinet, you will know if you have a good negative pressure because it will pull the doors in once they get real close to being closed.

You need to exhaust your light, that's for sure. You should drill a 4in. hole in the side(either side) about 3/4 of the way down and cover with screen and maybe a vent . Then you do the same depending on the size for your light . Does your light have openings for ducting?

can you tell me if this is ok cos it would be better fro me not to use a fan as it is to loud
yeah that will work, but you can also take advantage of that small space and place your exhaust fan in there, to help reduce light leaks. check out this link. this fellow built a cab out of a refrigerator, and he ducts his exhaust out the bottom from the top. you can hide use 3 or 4 inch PVC and then when you get under the main cab get a duct increaser to 6 inch for your current fan. or you can use something else. you have a lot of space so you can lend a little to some duct. just make sure your exhaust isnt blowing in the direction of the intake, so you may have to build a 90 degree on your intake so it only sucks from the side or back, and the exhaust blows inthe opposite of this

check out the link above, and you can run an open face light fixture and have your exhaust duct into it so that all your exhaust goes over your light to help cool it.

insulation for doors and windows, car window reflective material bent around the area where there is a light leak. look around the sites for light proofing, or google it. you may have a material in your home that works or be able to fabricate something yourself. i actually fabricate most my stuffmyself since my box is so custom.
