Best AUTOFLOWERING Strain Out There???

Ya it's just not too common to see that. I'll admit tho, it wasn't even 6 months ago that I was looking for the Ely Miller Bone Meal I buy in 15lb bags @ home dep really cheap. They were out and still looking to stock some things that they stopped bringing in during the winter. I ended up buying the Miracle grow Organic Blood Meal & Organic Bone Meal. The blood meal worked very well and gave them a noticably lush green color, and then the bone meal is great to throw out as a slow release during preflower. I've heard of some people giving this stuff throughout flower. Only problem, is it can take up to 2 months to fully release. If you give it to the plants too late in flowering, you are guaranteed to still have slow release buildups in the soil which could be harder to flush out and effect flavor if not treated properly.

I won't touch miracle grow synthetics tho. I did when I was a newbie and I just didn't like the product.

Any experienced growers still using superthrive out there? I feel that's a product that the newbies get all hyped on when they see the label (and you'll typically find it sitting next to the miracle grow products in most stores)

I've always had good results w it, but I only use a very very minimal dose. I"ll give them each one small dose after I've shaped them and am ready to let them blow up in veg. Or if there's a runt and/or a sickly plant, but again very very small doses. Always seems to do wonders. I've read where some people use it for weeks on end, personally I wouldn't but to each his own right. Do you ever use it outdoors Mazar?

I'm trying to get thru flowering without these monters raising the roof on me! haha Looks like they'll end up finishing just inches from doing so

I used it back in the day, and it's prob the best addative/stimulant that you can use as a beginner, but some newbiews that don't use PPM meters simply don't realize how strong that superthrive really is. Aside from the fact that I'm pretty much all organic, I have such a large nute closet that there's really no need for me to bother with nutes like that. I have every angle covered, to my knowledge. But I agree, to each his own! One man's meat, is another's poison.

Check my 'Outdoor Mazar' thread if you want to see my girls. I'll be putting some updates up soon, as they're all in flowering now. Been since Aug 21 that I took pics.

I use superthrive I usually just dump a lil in my 5gallons of mix and let it do work!

No further comments on maricle grow at this time! lol

I can't recall what the entire buildup is of Superthrive? I just looked at their label on an online site and all I could see that it contains is Vitamin B-1 and Napthyl Acid? Is that the majority of it contents, or are they hiding their secret recipe from what I'm seeing?

If it's majority B-1 and some acids, then honestly, I think my Advanced Nutrients Organic B along with their Grandma Enggy's Humic Acid & Fulvic Acid are covering those same aspects, if not more. I know the Organic B has more B vitamins in it than just B-1. Although I know that's the most important one, I think it's good to have traces of the others. Def post all that you know about superthrive, cuz I'm almost half convinced to buying a small bottle and doing a quality control test on one or two plants only with that, and seeing how the others do next to it without. If the one or two blow up, then I'll start doing it again from now on for all plants in the future?

I look forward to hearing more! =)

Yes, you can do that ... I am not the expert on genetics, but I believe if you want to keep the auto traits it would be best to cross a LR2 female with the Mango or Purple male, and then in the next grow, take your new cross and backcross it with a male LR2, which will start to stablize it's auto genetics.

Being you mentioned BC Mango, it sounds like you are a fan of BCBudDepot.com? That's gotta be my fav seedbank. I'm currently waiting to start their cannabis cup winning 'The PURPS' (ranked top 10 strain and a contender for best flavor in the world), I bought the BC Hashplant, and then a buddy of mine actually purchased the cannabis cup winning 'God Bud', which is a cross of hashplant & purple skunk, and he said is the most potent smoke he's ever had. Their Mango strain has won one or two awards I believe, so that should be a great one, too. I've only smoked it, and I couldn't believe how dense & fruit flavored it was. If you clean your bong out good and throw in ice or use a vaporizer, I swear both will give you the sensation & flavor in your mouth of biting into a fresh mango. It completely threw me off that genetics could produce such great taste.

Best of luck with your choices, and let me know what you choose! I love hearing about new crosses.

Just as Mazar said you want a nice female and a strong male but to bring out those autoflower traits you would have to backcross them back to the male to bring out the autoflower traits more until than you might get some phenos that autoflower and some that might not till it is stabilized.......... I heard that BC Mango is some killer ...... great genetics from BCSEEDS

i always recommend the lowlife auto white russian.
it's one of the most potent autoflowers imho and relatively easy to grow for an autoflower. plus it yields nicely for an autoflower. those are always the issues i have with autoflowers and this strain really made me happy.

BC has FIVE different cannabis cup winning strains out of the many they offer, consisting of: The Purps, God Bud, Sweet God, The Black, and Mango

God Bud - First cup winner, taking #1 indica cup back in 2004. 2005 it took down #1 & #2 best strain overall in two seperate comps, as well as a High Times strain of the year. In 2010, it resurfaced as being recognized for Top 10 Canadian Strains of All Time. The rep on this strain never ceases, and the yield will put a smile on any commercial croppers face.

The Purps - This strain came out in 2007 to immediately win the High Times Top 10 Strains of the Year, as well as High T #3 Sativa Cup. In 2009, it took a repeat of the #3 Sativa Cup, following with 2010 award of Top 10 Canadians, right next to the God Bud.

Mango - This came out in 2009 to win the High Times Top 10 Strains of the Year, respectively.

With The Black and Sweet God both winning two awards each from 06-09. I do not have experience with either of these.

With that in mind, I think the God Bud & The Purps are shouting out to be the best. The people awarding these strains certainly know what they are looking for, so I do not doubt the potency/flavor in the descriptions. I wouldn't necessarily discourage the Mango, as I've had it before and thought that while it wasn't the stoniest of buds, it was by far one of the tastiest fruit flavors I've ever had. You certainly won't get that flavor from the others. So it's completely up to you and comes down to what you're looking for. When looking at either of the 5, you're buying a potent plant regardless.

Anyone who goes onto bc's site, checkout the 'Plan B seeds BrainWarp'. It's a newer hybrid consisting of Kali Sativa & AK47. Supposed to be AMAZING. Don't even know if it's hit the competitions, yet. But I love energetic sativa head highs, so I can't wait to blaze this girl down by next spring! Anyone who reads up on some of these or has grown them, let's hear it! =)

autos i've grown and what i thought of them:
joint doctor'slowryder#2:
nice buds and a nice fruity smell and flavor. good buzz. it seemed to be about 50-50 for me on single bud formation and branching out, i've grown 100's of these.
lowlife ak47:
bigger buds than lowryder#2, more of a musky/skunky smell mixed with a lil fruit, i've only grown 10 but they all branched out and yielded a lil more due to that.
lowlife hindu kush:
smallest auto's i've grown but it could have been my luck out of 5 all were about 10-12 inches with very little branching, excellent buds.
roadrunner (forget breeder it was a freebie):
lots of branching with a very good taste and smell, extremely fruity but i only grew one, it stayed under 10 inches but was a lil bush, the buds were very loose i think i got like 9 grams off it.
nirvana's bubbelicious:
2nd fav auto, nice size plants, about the same as the ak47's, sticky nugs of goodness, bushy bitches... i love them.
delicious's la diva:
the best imo, if you like blueberry buds you must try this. good size fat buds, decent branching, i enjoy smoking this strain, it reminds me of blue cheese buds only sweeter.
nirvana's short ryder
no. this is not a true autoflower, i must have been high when i ordered em. out of 5 none went auto and the buds sucked anyway.
short stuff seeds mix pack:
nice in the soybean field, i dunno how they call it a mix thay all tasted/smelled the same out of 20 17 were girls so that was pretty cool, just reminded me of lr2 only not so fruity, more musky.

i'll give a review on joint doctor's diesel ryder and sagarmatha's smurfberry in about 6 weeks
