Why would i need to use 12 inch pots? that seems a bit big to me? i was thinking more like 6-8 inch pots that could fit in between the gaps in the floor that would make for more space, Also i am going to be getting a very small reflector and making the fixture as close to the roof as possible to save more room,And as i am growing hashplant i thought that height wouldnt be too great of a problem, I'm going to pop up into the attic now in a sec to have another look around to see if i will indeed be able to fit these pots between these holes in the floor.

All help is appreciated
You can use any pot size you want - provided they are big enough for your plants. I was just pointing out what many others have - you will quickly run out of vertical grow room. take it from me - i burnt some of my tops running out of room.

After looking through seedbanks i have found a seedshop only 20 minutes away from me that is selling 5 feminized mazar seeds for 55 euro, this is perfect for what i want,They grow very short from what i heard, do you people think i will have trouble keeping them from growing too tall?

I'll make sure i dont run out of grow height, 30+ inches should be plenty tall for a mazar after flowering what do you guys think?

there are things you can do to keep them from growing into the lights:
1) flower EARLY! not too early but early
2) tie them down (or other kind of training like SCRoG or SoG)
3) you can even "break" the top of the plants but that is kind of scary and takes some practice. the idea is you squeeze the stem where you want it to fold over. you squeeze it a lot (like 20 or 30 times) to break down the fibers and the top will eventually fall over WITHOUT snapping and will continue to grow - but like i said - this is scary and could ruin your tops if you do it wrong!

4) Keep your light as close as possible without burning them - this should help keep the plant nice and short - but bushy.

Thanks man i think this grow will turn out alright, Also do you think i should grow regular or SCROG

I suppose i could bend the tops and the keep them supported with a bamboo stick or something

as long as the lights are close and you have a fan on them, they should be strong enough to support any colas. i'm assuming this is your first grow - i would grow regular and keep close tabs on any stem elongation and i would start tying them down early.

The way I see it you have two very doable options. A) You can put a screen about 10 inches about your plants and weave em through and do a SCRoG. Or two you can position the plants on the outer edge of where the light hits (from wherever you're hanging it) and then as they grow, tie them down so they grow more horizontally across the remaining light area.

Actually a third thing that would work well if you had access to clones is SOG. Just get as many clones as you can fit up there and flower them right away, trimming the bottom most branches.

All 3 are great ideas, I like the second one But then that would mean i could only grow one plant and would have to veg it for a long time to get it to grow nicely across the screen to receive a decent amount of light,I might try it though, Right now i'm thinking SCROG, but if for some reason thats not gonna happen, i'll go with the second idea.
