I thought I posted this already but I guess It went into the ether.

I finally got the sun I ordered in April, lol. Plants are loving it. This week is more of the same so I thought I would post some pics of bud beginings and starting frostiness.

I am moving into the bloom ferts this week but the total % NPK is still prety balanced (14-18-16). Last year I went to 3-20-20 and it started to turn the leaves yellow within a week so I had to give them more N. I may use some mega PK like koolbloom for the last 1-3 weeks before the end but I havent decided yet.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

I love bud porn. This time next year you won't be able to see the wall in the back..
Can only get better. We'll have a great testing party this year I think with all the different strains. I originally spaced the beds for max growth but didnt happen this year for previously stated reasons.

I was thinking the same thing. those beds are gonna be put to their full potential next season. still looks like its going to be a good pull this year tho

Thx guys. Things are thichening up and they are taking the ferts well so everything is happy. I only had color on the purple JB dude, BK, and BCK (only one pheno of 3). I am now liking the C 99 and BK. In the begining they both looked lanky. In fact the BK I have with the purple is in a 20 gal which means it was going to get tossed until my friend Hodge talked me into keeping them since I started so late and I would et less harvest weight. Glad I kept it. Thx Hodge

I also have 3 plants of C99 x BR = Delta Wave. Not one has color and they also were the last pants in the ground. They were also starting out a little lanky but I transplanted them into the good soil in the 20 gal pots and they took off. Two of the DW have very nice structure to them and the third is a little lankyer but not much. The third one, didnt take the nutes like the others so it burned in the begining. They all must of hit the hot layer in the pots because all the last bunch, 3 DWs and 1 JB are about as tall or taller than the ones in the raised beds, except the C 99 and the big CI x BB.

Here we are about to start September and the plants are digging the weather. You cant ask for a more temperate year. Im sure were due for one more furnace blast before cooler temps pullin.

Plants are all still stacking well and some are starting to harden off. I pulled a bunch of seeds from the papaya that were ready. Will save those for next year as the papaya is looking well structured and it was crossed with JB purple pheno so that should be a winner.

the C 99 and the other plants are all in full flower after laggin a bit behind some of the others. I think they had to strech a little before packing it on. Hope the branches can handle the weight.

Here are the pics for last week. Enjoy (See post 113 for list of acronyms)

A few shots of the girls. Sprayed potassium bicarbonate on the ones with tight buds to try to prevent bud rot later. Plants are starting to tighten up the budsites and I have been using Spinosad once/week for caterpillars and it is seeming to work so far <knocks on wood>. I had to brace the C 99 because it started its impression of the leaning tower of pizza every time I sprayed or the wind came up. The JB is working hard to catch up with the others. All the DWs are packing it on. Next week is week 8 for the BCK. It turned purple again and is really becoming some dense buds. Enjoy the pics of this past week.

Row 1: P, V1, Q, BCK1, BCK p
Row 2: HAOGK, V2, BK1, LA Con x ECSD, LA Con x ECSD
Row 3: C-99, MS

the 1 or 2 indicates the pheno number and p incidates purple pheno or g for green pheno.

If I close my eyes, can almost smell those from here....
Hey Hodge thx for stopping by. Yea it smells great out back. I think Im doing ok with the bud rot and caterpillars this year <knock on wood>. Hope you are too. Some of the early strains are starting on week 8 this week so should be done in a couple of weeks or so. I better get my ass out there and check the trichs.

I will pull some pics tomorrow. I'll use a water bottle for size comparison. THings are starting to harden up around here and I am going to start winding down the nutes on a few strains that are about 2 weeks out and wind it up on others that are about 3 weeks out. All of the TGA gear (SQ, V, Q) and the HAOGK and BA are about 2-4 weeks out. The BCK is about done and I will start weaning it off the nutes and flushing for a couple weeks with water and molasses. The Back row 3 plants (CI x BB, Ult Chem, and MS) have about 4 weeks IMO. The C 99, LA Con x ECSD and the BK 1 have about 3-4 weeks. The DW and JB (last to pop) have about 5-6 weeks. I dont think any will go into Nov, like last year <praying>. Been wierd weather here last week (like June with the gloom). Fert time tomorrow. See ya then.

Found a little bud rot on the BA and BCK 3. Spot sprayed with KHCO3 which it turns out to be in many of the fungicides and PM mixtures. $11 for 1 lb on Amazon. 1 tsp/gal does it with a little (2tblsp) liquid soap or nonpolar wetting agentI will keep a close watch on those 2 plants. The BCK is almost done and the BA is about 3 weeks out so I hope I can finish them without pulling them early.

I live in a relatively humid (not like the south though) place being about 1 mi from the beach in SoCal. The weather has been overcast all day for the past 4 days and the buds are tightining up a lot. The strains are not prome to bud rot its the relative humidity and lack of air movement at night coupled with tight nugs. Last year it was worse without the KHCO3. I am going to put some Serenade on them tomorrow too. I figure the bacteria of Serenade and the KHCO3 will kill the fungus and the spores X 2.

Like I said in the previous post, I have added Kool Bloom (1/4 tsp/gal) to the nute load and am starting to reduce the bloom nutes for flush time coming in the next 10 days or so. Instead of 2 tsp of bloom I am using 1 tsp plus the kool bloom. In effect the N is being cut out. The following week after next they will just get water, molasses, and Kool Bloom. The last week just water and molasses then the trimming begins. :blsmoke:

Here are the pics I promised. I took too many so I will post some on Sunday to spread them out some.

Girls are stacking nicely, we had a small amount of rain here, not too serious but the sons garden up north was 2 days worth, keeping fingers crossed with the mold..

Here are the rest of the pics. Some are close so I will start the flush and just PK nutes once or twice more for the finish. Hope I can keep them from rotting since the colas are dense and hugh. So far just a little. Enjoy the pics
