When America was first colonized, the idea was simple: to establish a civilization in which every man was entitled to speak, express, and practice his or her own beliefs, moral or religious, without prejudice from anybody. Now you would think that this is so fundamentally simple, and possible, but as history and the present show over and over again, it all raises the old question: cant we all just get along?
The answer, quite simply , is no. Because you CANT PLEASE EVERYBODY. Its a fact, and ALL of us have seen that said fact proven over and over throughout our whole lives. No matter how nice of a person you try/can be, theres always some asshole thats gonna shit on you for SOMETHING, no matter how petty it may be (and it usually is). Thats not a judgement either its just how the world works.
Isnt it obvious that by establishing a colony and sayin okay, anybody and everybody that wants to can get up in this bitch, say what you want, do what you want that youre gonna get nothing but bad results? We are all different, with differing voices and opinions so sooner or later (usually sooner) your going to get contradicting ideas, which lead to a segregation of the masses, which TOTALLY defeats the purpose of establishing a new colony/country to begin with!
So the presidential campaigns put the people on either side of the fences: is gay ok or not ok, is abortion ok or not ok personal choices that everyone is entitled to, which shouldnt even BE topics or major issues, but are still yet used to drive the country apart when we should be consolidating hence, the UNITED states.
Now its just a giant, gumbo clusterfuck pile of mixed opinions, hate, crime, and crooked politics. You almost have to just fuck people over to make it livin here. So really, what I want to know is, where and when did it all go wrong? When did this place go from a boomin established and organized country steamin ahead of everyone else, to the shitty, lazy cesspool that is pretty much is for the most part today? Were we too soft on everyone, by givin out hand-outs to pretty much anybody that wants them? Was it putting our noses in all the other countries business by trying to help others before fixin shit here at home? Id love to hear everyones ideas.
