Exausting into condo bathroom vent. Need pro help!

Hello
I am in the process of designing a new grow room.
The room is next to a bathroom that has a vent that goes through my building and out the roof.
I was hoping someone with this type of knowledge could tell me if this can be done?
I was gonna cut a hole into the wall on the other side of the bathroom and connect my duct/fan/filter to it.
Will the exhaust air travel into other apartments above me or can this be done?
Any ideas are appreciated.

sound ok to me just make sure that it go's up and not into the bathroom And I don't think it will go in the the upstair apt if that was the case you be smell somebody else shit all day.....good luck hope it helps

all the bath vent ducts i installed when i worked hvac were each separate never linked to other bathrooms and vented out the soffit never just into attic but i never did apts just commercial and residential. but one concern is if it there are balconys what if it is vent right above the upstairs neighbors balcony that wouldnt be good can u sneak into attic if not i say light a smoke bomb in your bathroom with door closed and vent running and then run outside to see where it vents I'm just kidding
u could check local building codes office ask if each bathroom has to vent separately

There are no balconys next to my place so I don't think that's a concern. The building is also old and built in the early 60's if that matters...
I guess the trick is to see how wide the exhaust shaft in the wall is and try to align the cut hole on the otherside.

well codes were different in the sixties u could still ask
it would be reassuring to know it if it had a a y connecting it to condo above but i kind of doubt it i mean who wants someone smell when there taking a shit below coming into apartment

if u got access from bathroom side to the duct just punch a small pilot hole then go to other room and find hole

This post is correct. Linking up vents would be a violation of fire codes for obvious reasons.

Code aside, if you're renting or leasing it isn't a good idea to add to/modify any part of the building's infrastructure. IE : HVAC, Electrical, plumbing etc etc...It's not your stuff to mess with, plain and simple. You'll end up with trouble just for some ventilation, regardless of safety or proper procedure. Weigh that out first. If you go for it, make sure the whole project is put EXACTLY back to the way it was before you leave. That can be tricky and even more costly than installing the whole thing.

I own it.
And will of course patch it up if /when I leave.
The only other concern i have is sound.
I have a 175cfm inline fan right now and its loudest at the exit of the duct.
My walls are like paper, maybe a muffler will help.

I rent a condo. Most people I know in condos rent them.
