Thinking of ditching the tent ..

Hello everyone..

I have a dr240w tent w/ 2 600w aircooled lights in it and it is getting overcrowded in there.. I have 18 ladies in there 3 rows of 3 under each light.. On one half im getting vertically challenged by some sour D and Agent O on the other side I have Jack the Rippers who are busting out the sides of the tent...

My tent is in my spare bedroom so I pretty much am dedicating that room to the grow anyway so im concidering taking out the tent and hanging panda film throughout. this would give me 1.5 extra vertical feet and 2+ ft on either side floorspace.. more room to spead things out and be able to hang the light up higher for the AO.

The only thing im not sure about is am I going to loose out a lot on reflected light by having a bigger area? And also will my two 600's be able to cover the plants well enought if i spread them out a bit? should I let everyone grow into each other and tangle up in the smaller space and tie things down to make it work or should i open things up for the ladies... im really on the fence about it.. need help making up my mind.

Im in my second week of flower and they are still shooting up and out...

...just paint the whole room white, and your good bro. If you want a smaller space, just build you a room out of 2x4's and panda poly.

And what about odour control if its an issue? atleast when growing in a tent you can use carbon filters and such

well imho i am thinking if you do a lst on your ladies and lower the light to acommidate i would ditch the tent and go with room. i would put pastic down on the floor and up the wall a little bit to stop any water that might find its way and seap into the floor and create mold. and if its carpeted would be even worse. but i would say go for it.

Well I already have a roll of 10x 100' panda so if I do the room i might as well use it.

Why cant I use carbon filters in a room like I do in a tent? the room is otherwise sealed and the carbon filter is mostly for exhaust smell isnt it?

tAlso do you think that opening it up to the whole room will help lower my humidity a little bit? im just a little over where id like to be at the moment in the tent.

what i mean is if you use the whole room where are you gonna extract the air? outside the house or in to your hallway? ive seen it done before so go for it :) obviously stealth isnt an issue for you

i've had this same problem before but it was a closet grow..ended up getting overcrowded and i took them out of the closet and stuck em in the middle of the room. I used a white tarp to reflect light. I just wrapped it around all my plants and hung it from the wall. it actually worked out better that way

why wouldnt he vent it outside. he could vent it out the roof and would still be a stealth room. there are many people who vent it to the outside with out any problems. and who would not love to have a whole room to grow in. to be able to walk around and put nice tables so you dont have to bend over. ahh things we can only dream about............my wife would kill me if i tried to expand into an entire room. and with more space it is much easier to control temps humity and such. so much more room for error. the only problem would be suplementing co2 to huge area. other than that i would love it

Well I am going for it tonight thanks for the advise all .. ... got the panda film and just went out and picked up some 2x4's to hand the lights ..
