Grow box gets way to hot, need help.

This is my grow box, I originally had 3x200w bulbs but the temperature was at 42*C....lol. So now i have 3x23w energy saver bulbs (equals 100w each) which is better, but still hot (30*C)... What can i do??

thx.

first u pay attention to actual wattage not the equivalent wattage u have a total of 69 watts

if it is to hot with just 69 watts u need more air movement

I take it one fan is intake and one is exhaust? Move the intake fan up and add it to the exhaust. Cover that old intake hole up. Drill intakes on the floor, seal the cracks to make sure your getting pressure AND will be able to vent smelly air in the future..... Good luck.

Nice setup too,

Yeah, with proper air flow, you should stay within 1-2 degrees of ambient room temperature. If your room temp is lower than that, you need more exhaust. If those fans are set up as one intake and one exhaust, set them up so you have two high exhausts, and just have open holes down low covered with some sort of screen to act as passive intake.

Those plants definitely look hot and shriveled, and also should be in separate containers so the roots don't choke each other. Also, with that height you are going to want to switch to flower pretty early. Just my advice.

Good luck with your grow!

another thing i noticed is u need light traps on fans and where your plug goes in the back and leave a couple inches of room behin in other word dont put it right up to wall it will cut down on airflow and why r u growing 2 plants in on container put them in one gallon pots

one i'd put the bulbs closer to the plans and maybe try putting a fan inside so the air moves around and not just in one up and out the other. dont put the air right on the plants but point the back of the fan to the front on the intake in a way than see bet it will drop and were those clones that r having a hard time getting up or is that a floppy seedling? and get rid of the bucket thats trapping water making it more humid to humid too badd..

and 69 watts is not enough lite for 2 plants it really isnt enough for one for now its ok since yours r small but first and do it today get them out of that tupperware thing does it even have drain holes u got to put them in seperate pots or roots will tangle later
use a one gallon pot

Thx alot for the reply....

So by "adding the intake to the exhaust" you mean put it side by side, or stacked up together or...were exacly??

And just to make sure I get this, by drilling holes in the floor of the box for intake, i'm moving air upwards towards my exhaust so that the box constantly get a fresh air flow...right?

u get cooler air at bottom never mount a intake anywhere but here and NO DO NOT PUT INTAKE NEXT TO OUTAKE it will just draw in air to suck it right back out and wont to shit for plants or lowering temps if u did this the air coming in would make a u turn and get sucked right out
put the intake no higher then tops of pots no higher

if u want to test the other guys advice put 2 fans side by side one blowing on way and one blowing the other and light a joint or pipe and blow smoke in the push side of fan u know the intake and see where your smoke goes other fan sucks it in so basically this represents what would happen to your cool air coming in box it gets sucked out before it even has a chance to cool box

and another thing i didnt notice before dude move your lights down that mite be why they r laying down they stretch to light then get top heavy since they r sprouts for now put it about 4 inches above plant
and it looks like soil is dry about time to water but dont yet get them in bigger pots then water then lower lights
