Moles and Gophers, how to get rid of them

Hello All-
I have 11 girls ranging from 3ft to 10ft+ in my garden. Last year I laid half inch hardware cloth wire down, and around the outside perimeter of the garden 3ft deep to keep the Gophers/Moles out, I never had an issue.
Well this year something made its way into my garden and killed one of Mind Bender X Afghangoory's. I put a road flare in the hole and burnt it down hoping to kill that bastard, but no luck, he got another of my girls today. Chemo Cindy looked down this morning, so i investigated under the plant, pushing on the soil around the stock, and sure enough, another hole. Unable to shove another flare into the hole due to its location relative to the plant, I shoved a garden hose into the hole and run it about 20 minutes. It never filled up, just running through the hole to who-knows-where. I.m sure he'll be back, and I cant afford to lose another plant.
How do I rid my garden of those bastards? Anything I could buy to get rid of these pests? Any help is appreciated.

Seriously though, what high put is right, predator urine works good, but if you go to a garden center they will have plenty of products that are designed to keeps pests out of gardens.

Going to be tuff getting that wolf or big dog pee, but I can collect my pee easily.
I was told by another grower that Fox Farms "Grow Big" will chase them away, Any body hear this too?

im haveing the same prob right now, i have the electronic spikes and wolf urine dispensors and nothing i have found yet works...... i have even tried pouring a blood meal paste all over..

I've had two old time gardeners say to buy some wrigley's juicy fruit gum (overheard conversation), open 1 piece and drop it in the hole, repeating for every hole you find. They're supposed to eat it but can't digest the gum and it will kill them. I never tried this because I never had problems with critters but try it, not like it'll break the bank.

Ive tried the wrigley's juicy fruit gum. It sticks to there fur, and makes them scratch themselves to death. That could take awhile. The spike traps work well. The best way is to remove there source of food. Spray a bacteria that kills grubs in the ground. Thr traps will help this year, and the spray will help next year.

go buy a snake or catch one and let it go down the hole.

I would have to say you HAVE to get rid of their food source which are the grubs -- other than that it will be hard as heck!! This would be time consuming, depending upon how desperate you are, hammer spikes into the ground every few inches about a foot down--- or place some sheet piling around the perimeter of the garden-- sounds crazy but it will stop them from getting to your garden that contains their food!!
