Cutting topsss

So im wondering how old (about) my plants should be before I chop the top?
The whole point of chopping the top is so 2 new tops grow out right? This is what im assuming...anyways, any help would be appreciated. ^_^

it depends on how many branches you want below. for mothers i remove the whole bottom 2-3 branches then top it at 4 nodes then top those side branches at 2 nodes. then i let her go. big ol bush.

i let the branch get 5-6" before cut the end off for clones. once again keep in mind you have to leave branching sites for future growth. look at the structure of the plant and try to visualize where it's going and where you want it to go. you can train it to do loops if you want. i have.

It has the first four on top...thats it. And i've had them growin for like 2 weeks now maybe longer.....whats my prob. and when do i kno when to cut em?

if you cut the tops you slow growth so much if you want more pot just grow more plants. if you cut any thing cut lower little bunches before you bud that will make for a bigger cola but this is just my thoughts and experience. And you can clone when you got a branch that has 4 or more branching sights on that limb just leave one branching sight fore a new branch to grow from it.

i let them get to 7 or 8 then top it. patients it like watching plants grow. i check mine every 10 minutes to see if they have grown. hehe haha. i do though.

haha atleast im not the only one!

i was under the impression that (more nodes=more bud) is this true?

i like to take the bottom couple leaf sets, and small lower branches, they wont produce much bud anyway.
