Issues with coco

I was wondering, since it seems like it dries so quickly, how often you have to water plants grown in soil-less coco coir? plants are in pot of 1,2, and 3 gallons.

So far im doing 1gallon in the 3 gallon pots
3/4 gallon in the 2 gallon pots
and a half gallon in the gallon pots
all 2x daily (only since i transplanted them 2 days ago)

Please help.

Coco is very forgiving with over watering, So you will really have to try to drown it to do any damage. Is the type of Coco you are using small pieces. like mulch? ...JR

yeah just short of keeping it in buckets of water you will be OK. Keep it moist with as few waterings a day and you should be good.

I have been growing in coco mat and cubes for the last 6 harvests and am trying something else next new cycle. I just was not seeing the type of root growth I was expecting, not to mention most of the plants grew right through the mat and all the root mass just laid in the bottom of my dutch trays, not quite what I wanted it to do. It seemed like I was wasting the medium, I tried laying panda plastic under the mat and that as only a band-aid. So against my gut feeling I am going to dedicate myself to at least three cycles of rock-wool slabs made to fit for my trays.

If I don't like how that turns out I'm going to buy some 8 inch square pots that are made for a flood table and fill them with coco coir. I hope I don't have to spend more money, NV sucks for mmj, the license is so expensive to get and maintain. ,

Sorry for the babble, I will be keeping an eye on you bean, so ask away.......JR
