Opinion on when you think my plants will be ready

Looks to me like you have a lot of weight to pack onto them bro ... BE PATIENT!!!

What date did you record as day 1 for seeing flower development?

Have you been feeding them lots of PK, Cal-Mag, & Carbs? If you're anywhere less than 7 weeks along, I think you should boost your Nitrogen levels up a bit. You will see a large benefit n increase in weight/potency if they are lush green all the way, and then you will still have plenty of time to flush them for flavor and let them feed on their nutrients stores and let the fan leaves yellow off at the end.

Cheers!

7 weeks 7 days i believe..the other 2 plants aren't posted, those pictures are all one plant that is the most developed at the moment. I have a purple plant * dunno what * but the buds are purple and i have one that has the same color buds as the picts above but it has more heads. both those are way behind this one.

I used scotts bloom booster and alaska grow bloom...i alternate here and there cause the alaska is more natural then the powdered stuff, but the powdered stuff has more strenth * 10-52-10*.. And i also use brer rabbit molasses off and on. I have been having yellow leaves from the molasses so I use it sparingly.

I know it probly supposed to go for another 2 weeks but i wanted to make sure the hairs arent telling me to get her harvested.

For sure ... I love Alaska's Organic line. I have only been able to find one of their products at my local store thus far and haven't bothered looking to order others online, but their liquid fish emulsion has been my favorite source of nitrogen all year ever since I discovered it. It's rated @ 5-1-1, and has three different forms of Nitrogen releasing at various speeds which makes it hard to burn them. Is your Alaska Bloom a liquid, powder, or pellet form? What's the NPK rating?

As for how long your plants have been going, you typed 7 weeks 7 days ... So ... Either you mean you are now beginning Week 8, or you had a typo. Let me know if you meant something other than 7-8.

Whenever a breeder says for any strain 7-8 weeks, it can really go 8-9 (in almost all cases, some really do finish in that period but the # is slim), 8-9 can go anywhere from 9-11. There's even some haze strains and whatnot that are recommended to let finish a full 12 weeks. Being that your girls are where they are at here in Sept, I would say you could push them a good 10 weeks if you want to pull them Sept 31-Oct 1? Personally, they don't look much further along than my StarTrek, which looking at my calander, I don't expect her to finish til Oct 14-21. So keep in mind that your patience can = serious increases in both weight & potency, as if you pull anytime soon it does not look like you will be pulling anywhere near full genetic potential. Looks like you're treating them well tho!

I meant 8 weeks lol I wasnt thinking that 7 days was a week.

The Alaska Morbloom I use is 0-10-10 and I use it like every week at like 1TBSP per Gal and its in liquid form...smells like shit and looks like poop in a bottle.

I want to wait that long so I think I will since there my plants. ill just tell my nagging friends to stuff it for a few more weeks...my friends are horrible...texting me constantly about when they will be ready lol. they are so anxious.

Wont the CBD build up more then the THC and cause your weed to have more of a body high when you wait the whole 10-12 weeks ? I always heard when you let it go really long into flower the trichomes start forming the put you on the couch high instead of the running around the house cleaning high...is that true or how does that theory stand??

looks done to me.
You're joking, right? That's nowhere NEAR what he should be achieving for an outdoor yield. Trust me. I grow outdoor, and where he's at, I'm currently at in week 3. He has much much more weight to pack on, and the buds don't look nearly as frosted as they could be.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I say ADD:

-Nitrogen (Alaska makes the 5-1-1 fish emulsion which would really help get your plants back to that lush green color, and N will help with good overall growth in all aspects. While the plant needs ample PK for bud production, if it's N defecient it will have trouble photosynthesizing and reduce the ability to use PK in the first place)
-Phoshorus/Potassium (PK, Use your Morbloom for this)
-Carbohydrates (Molasses will be your best bet. Cheap, and will help the plant trich out and pack on more weight)

When you feel you are just about ready to pull, you can feed WATER ONLY for as little as 3 days, to as much as 2 weeks to reach full flavor. If you're already on week 8 and looking to push on, you may want to go with a shorter flush and not risk going too long.

Haha, ya I was cracking up about the '7 weeks 7 days' thing. I was pretty sure you meant week 7 or 8 tho so it's all good.

Yes, Alaska liquid emulsion products do smell & look like shit in a bottle. It's amazing stuff tho. Price per liter, and overall use & effectivness, I'd have to say this is by far my favorite nutrient. I get a gallon of it for around $11. I wish they offered the Bloom formula you are using, as the 5-1-1 of mine is only suitable in flowering @ small doses for Nitrogen boosts. The 0-10-10 ratio would be great! Keep using it!

Are you using MOLASSES or any other ingredient/product for carbohydrates? You will greatly increase your results if you're not, but take advantage of what time you have left and add it. It will help product larger, more potent, and my personal favorite, SWEETER flowers by the time you finish. 1-2 tablespoons per gallon with where you are will help carboload them, and it also has some Potassium, Magnesium, & Sulfer (or atleast that's what content is in my molasses).

Ya, you really need to tell your friends to be patient. Better yet, for legal & security purposes, you probably shouldn't be texting eachother about plants and when they will be done. But ya, patience in letting plants finish the proper amount of time is a huge mistake for growers that are still learning some of the basics. Don't let peer pressure get ya down. Whenever my plants look close to being done, I go seriously out of my way to find the absolute best bud in town, and I will smoke on that for the next week or two. This ensures that I won't need any bud anytime soon and the sense of urgency to chop is much less. If you're low on bud and have beautiful plants in the back towards the end of the grow, it's easy to talk yourself into justifying an early clip.

You're CBD argument is a valid point ... However, this is a strain dependent issue. Some strains go 6-7 weeks (very rare trait), lots can finish in 8-9 (one of the most common timeframes), and then there's plenty that will love going 9-11. Even 12 for a few out there. And you always have to remember that seedbanks feel no shame in lying about how long it takes to finish for marketing purposes, as they know many growers are looking for a quick flip. By chopping a week or two off in their listings, surprise surprise they sell more! So for that reason, you can usually push any strain an extra week or two, and for the avg strain, that puts you around 9-11 weeks. If you wanna go another week, you'll have less weight, but more THC, less CBD/CBN which will give you more of a Sativa head high. If you go another two weeks, you'll still be getting a good head high but it will have more of a body stone. Less weight, slighty more potency but it will be more balanced in THC/CBN/CBD. If you go 11 weeks, you are looking at more of a couch lock high with much more CBN/CBD than what's in there right now.

Personally, I say feed your plants this week and give them that final boost. Make sure they get their carbs. And then flush for another week with water only. Two weeks total from today. Then chop. I think you will be very happy with your results. Take some pics & post, and anyone who says otherwise will see the larger yield/trichome production.

Cheers

alaska morbloom is dif not organic. it is fish emulsion and chemical phos and potash.. that's why it doesn't have the omri logo like the fish emulsion does. I used to sell these products at humboldt hydroponics...

Ill try this out, I am just scared cause i tend to over do it some times with nutrients and molasses which in turn causes my plants to turn yellow...i guess i can give it small doses at a time so that it gets what it needs and not over what it needs or wants.

why do ppl cut there plants down when they can harvest it like 3 more times when you cut the main cola off??

I had a plant i got buds off of it like 5 more times when i cut the main cola off last year lol...so why hack when you can keep getting more ?

I use BRER RABBIT MOLASSES and i add that at like 1 tbsp per 3 gallons since i had some yellowing in the past...but I see what you mean with weight cause they fattened up quick as hell with molasses.

I think I will go to week 10 just because my plants or atleast the one in the pict is mostly sativa so I know they take longer to get fully ready to be picked. the others are kinda mix matched and one is purple so im sure thats more indica which means i need to watch her cause she will bud and ripen faster. I tried to add pollen to her so i can get seeds cause the purple strain she is, is amazing looking and i dont want to lose her ya know.

I guess CBD isnt so bad. alot of my friends like the up couch high any ways since they smoke when they are home off work and such.

text messaging is a sin I know but its soo hard not to be excited about how I finally got to finish these plants lol...im proud

I water her every 3 days or every other day. I alternate from every day to every 3 days just to make it find water when its not being watered constantly by me....is it good for the plant to have random waterings or is it better to have a set schedule day in and day out so that it can rely on a routine ?

You're not finished YET. Til it's all dried, trimmed, cured, & loaded in your bong, I say lay low and be careful of raising any red flags in any regard. Even medical patients need to be careful of what they text & say on the phone. Yes, it's legal in your state. But it's still illegal on a federal level, and the DEA or any other federal investigating agency will trump any state or city law, meaning you are still an illegal criminal that can be prosecuted under even harsher laws that what's provided under the state. SO ... not to be a buzz killer haha, but I do like to preach security & safety until this bullshit 'War on Medicine' is over =)

If you need to communicate, non obvious code is always the best

Cheers!

Harvesting is the reaping of the bounty when growing cannabis, and is the most enjoyable time you will spend with your garden.
Plants are harvested when the flowers are ripe. Generally, ripeness is defined as when the white pistils start to turn brown, orange, etc. and start to withdraw back into the false seed pod. The seed pods swell with resins usually reserved for seed production, and we have ripe sinse buds with red and golden hairs.
It is interesting that the time of harvest controls the "high" of the buds. If harvested "early" with only a few of the pistils turned color, the buds will have a more pure THC content and will have less THC that has turned to CBD and CBN's. The lesser psychoactive substances will create the bouquet of the cannabis, and control the amount of stoniness and stupidness associated with the high. A pure THC content is very cerebral, while high THC, high CBD, CBN content will make the plants more of a stupid, or hazy buzz. Buds taken later, when fully ripened will normally have these higher CBN, CBD levels and may not be what you prefer once you try different samples picked at different times. Don't listen to the experts, decide yourself based on what you come to like yourself.
Keep in mind, a bud weighs more when fully ripe. It is what most growers like to sell, but take some buds early for yourself, every week until you harvest, and decide how you like it for yourself. Grow the rest to full maturity if you plan to sell it.
Most new growers want to pick early, because they are impatient. That's OK! Just take buds from the middle of the plant or the top. Allow the rest to keep maturing. Often, the tops of the plants will be ripe first. Harvest them and let the rest of the plant continue to ripen. You will notice the lower buds getting bigger and fuzzier as they come into full maturity. With more light available to the bottom portion of the plant now, the plant yields more this way over time, than taking a single harvest.
Use a magnifier and try to see the capitated stalked trichomes (little THC crystals on the buds). If they are mostly clear, not brown, the peak of floral bouquet is near. Once they are mostly all turning brownish in color, the THC levels are dropping and the flower is past optimum potency, declining with light and wind exposure rapidly.
Don't harvest too late! It's easy to be too careful and harvest late enough potency has declined. Watch the plants and learn to spot peak floral potency.
Do not cure cannabis in the sun, it reduces potency. Slow cure hanging buds upside down in a ventilated space. That is all that is needed to have great sensi. Drying in a paper bag works too, and may be much more convenient. Bud tastes great when slow dried over the course of a week or two.
If your in a hurry, it's OK to dry a small amount in-between paper sheets or a paper bag in a microwave oven. Go slow and check it, don't burn it. Use the defrost power setting for a slower, better drying. It will be harsh smoking this way though.
A food dehydrator or food preserver will dry your cannabis in a few hours, but it will not taste the same as slow-dried. Very close though. And this will speed your harvest time (which can be nerve-wracking, with all this cannabis hanging around drying.)
Dry buds until the stems are brittle enough to snap, then cure them in a sealed tupperware container , burping air and turning the buds daily for two weeks.
Once experienced grower told me to dry in an uninsulated area of the house (like the garage) so that the temperature will rise and fall each night, as the plant is drying. If you treat the plant as if it were still alive, it will use some of it's chlorophyll while it is drying, and the smoke will be less harsh.
I copied from a growers guide I found on-line. I harvest both peaks, 1/2 n 1/2
