Bud worms after harvest !!!

I just harvested some plants and they have worms.

I shook the plants a bit to get rid of the worms but I'm sure there are still some more.

What can I do to get rid of or kill the remaining worms in the buds, I'm afraid that if I touch the buds too much, I'll loose the THC.

Any ideas or help...

any reason to make 2 posts to ask a question that is answered about 4 posts above yours, heaven forbid you search here on RIU or try that new site GOOGLE, it's cool....

So your afraid to ruin all that THC that mother nature made huh? well unless you want to smoke worm shit only to try and get high, I would dig through those buds and kill me some worms. and believe me they are deep in the buds, and all that black stuff you see inside your bomb ass buds while you are digging around, yeah that's worm shit. Enjoy, oh yeah like it's posted here about 1000 times, it's best to dust your plants with Sevin dust about 2 weeks into budding next year, I personally I hate the f'in worms so much I will not grow outdoors anymore....JR

thx moz, I think it's a'hole-ish to double post and waste space, and to be lazy, and to not know how to look up simple facts, and breast feeding in public, but that's just me....Enjoy......JR

It's not a matter of being lazy, I already did a search and couldn't find anything helpful.

If you can find any help regarding getting rid of bud worms after harvesting - besides hand picking them, let me know. I wouldn't have asked twice if it wasn't urgent and since I'm not so familiar with growing weed in general, I thought that maybe there is another way of getting them out besides hand picking.

what did you type in search? i just typed in, "bud worms", and got some results.

Those are caterpillars (AKA MOTH LARVAE),Not EarthWorms.That brown stuff, is shit,they also piss,which creates mold...Scan,and remove those lil green fuckerz...Spray neem oil around your grow area...http://www.cirrusimage.com/moths.htm.

Ohhhh the evil bud worms

get some Bt. it's caterpillar killer. i'm using it this year. i mist with it once a week. it seems to be working. i see the moths come in every night just after dark. i know they are laying eggs. i found one small caterpillar on top of a bud a few days ago and one that had burrowed in. the burrowed one was dead, i think, so the Bt seems to be working. try to remove any damaged bud. if moisture gets into it before it heals it will turn into bud rot. bud rot is nasty. you don't want that. make sure you get all the feces out of the bud. this holds the moisture where the rot will start.
keep an eye on the brown haired buds. they seem to be an indicator that you have a caterpillar. sounds like you know that though. also one dead fan leaf in an otherwise healthy bud is a good sign. follow the stem of the fan leaf and it usually leads to a bud worm. i can go 6 months without a problem and then these bastard come in and screw me the last 4 weeks

It wasn't an assbag response, he had a valid reason to give the answer that he did. No need to make a new thread on budworms when theres hundreds of others. I just searched riu and found over 500 threads on budworms.

Caterpillars will normally "vacate the premises" when the buds are hung to dry

you'll see them hanging on little threads

then you just have to do some damage control on the buds
