I fully respect their right to build this mosque. I think it is in poor taste and quite possibly a fuck you to America but hey, that's the price of living in this country I guess.Infuriating watching this sob speak of constitutional values.

This guy and virtually everybody siding with the mosque keep citing their "constitutional right" to build the mosque here. Nobody ever said they don't have the right. The same amendment to the constitution that gives them religious freedom to build this thing is the same one that gives everybody who disagrees the right to speak their mind (How ironic). I don't think this will end well for either side. The muslims are being hard headed and want their ground zero mosque. It looks like they are gonna get it. Have they given much thought about the consequences of doing this? I will bet my next harvest that there will be violence and or vandalism because of this thing. This will, of course, inflame the muslims and cause more tensions. It's a bad idea all the way around but yes, they do in fact have the right to build the thing wherever they please. Does this mean it's a good idea? No. The problem as I see it is this does nothing to bridge the divide, which is growing IMO, between the islamic world and the west. Just like thousands who lost loved ones, I too have a personal attachment to that hole in the ground. 343 of my brothers lost their lives that morning trying to save the lives of complete strangers. I deployed with Rescue Task Force 1 less than 24 hours after the attack and spent several weeks sifting through rubble looking for bodies and survivors. We found very few of either. This is sacred ground and should be treated as such. They want us to respect their fucking holy book yet they don't want to have the same respect for our hallowed ground and our dead brothers and sisters. Fucking hypocrisy!

note the "radical" its the same in islam and christianity its a small group of people that are seperate from the rest
theres 1.5 billion muslims and they arent all radical, just as the evangelicals in africa (slightly more than just 1 small villages worth btw) dont represent the whole of christianity
pulling up cases from 3rd world countries doesnt make the people building the mosque radical either
