So my plan I have put in motion as of today consists of me keeping one mother plant under a 150hps and take possibly 18 cuttings off it per month and throw those clones once takin root outside in my green house. With this being said I would be able to have a winter harvest and early spring correct? +rep for awnsers or advice.

Yes, you can harvest as often as you want, perpetual grow.....I grow perpetual and harvest every month.....you can harvest as often as you want, just take cuttings accordingly...I used to do a harvest every 2 weeks, but the canopy in my flower room got out of hand

location is a big factor. farther north you are the shorter the days are in the winter and the plants will subsequently mature faster than they would in a summer grow if you\'re in the southern hemisphere you probably won\'t have a harvest until spring, unless you\'re growing an autoflowering variety. you\'d probably have to grow an autoflowering variety close to the equator as well but I can\'t speak to any experience of growing anywhere but up there in the good ol northern hemisphere

I am not going to use a flowering room. This can be done all outdoor year round in a green house correct? I live in cali so no snow moderate rain, and little frost. Currently I am using a breathable materal for my green house roof and sides. I am guessing I would need to change it to something so rain wont get on the plants in the winter? Also is 150hps enough for one mother plant?

You could fit a couple Moms under a 150, 3-4 if you LSt have you considered that?

Having a few strains to run is always nice and you wont have to worry about having a steady supply of cuttings.

150 hps should be more than enough for one mother plant.

As someone else pointed out, its not strictly a length of time but what the light cycles are doing that will determine if you can flower. In san francisco for example, May 1, 2011 will have 13h46m of daylight, and May 30, 2011 will have 14h35m of daylight. With this amount of sunlight your plants will not be in the flowering phase, they will be in vegetative. And if they are in flowering before this period they will revert back to vegetative once the length of the day becomes long enough (and the length of night shrinks). It wont happen precisely at 12/12, but it will happen sometime between 12/12 and the approx 15/9 cycle that will hit on the summer solstice. Indoors you can control the light/dark cycles, but you cant control the sun outdoors, so your harvest will have to be planned accordingly.

I find T5's are best for moms, little to no heat and efficient. You can fit 3 large moms under 1 T5 (4 bulb 4 footer) no problem.

I can't comment on how many cuttings per month, but i use a 125w CFL to light everything in the veg tent, the mothers, clones, vegging plants, they all do just great, i know i'd see slightly improved growth if i plugged the 300w back in, but i see no need. As i say though, this is without taking into account the amount of clones availeble so bear that in mind :)
