Nirvana's Autos DO NOT WORK ( ok, maybe 10% of them do)

Hey everyone,

I was interested in trying Nirvana's new autos out so I got myself a Jock Horror and a Bubblelicious.

7 weeks from seed and neither of them auto'd. After doing a bit of searching online I found that a whole bunch of other growers have and are still having the same problem.

I decided to leave a comment on the Nirvana website letting them and others know of my bad experience.... A month later and the post has still not been put up on the site and 'approved' by it's moderators.

What bullshit! I used to think nirvana seeds rocked! This has really turned me off them, and so I'm just warning everyone now...If you're looking into getting some DON'T! You will most likely be dissapointed.

SAME HERE!! I ordered they're shortrider, NONE OF THEM AUTO'D, after the short stuff auto assassins had already been harvested, THEN the motherfuckers showed sex, AND THEY WERE ALL MALE....I've been happy with their traditional genetics, but I'm done with auto's. All the breeders are acting like they got they're shit stabalized, and they're SO much quicker than anything you could do with a photo...BULLSHIT, BULLSHIT, BULLSHIT. †takes deep breath† thank you, I needed that...So I started 12/12ing photo's from the beginning. What pisses me off, I did the math (THAT I SHOULD HAVE DONE BEFORE THE ORDER) and with any standard indica, and even alot of indica/sativa mixes you have flowering times of 8-9 weeks, and if you 12/12 from seed you will see sex in 3 weeks, about the same your supposed to see in an auto. thats 11- 12 weeks. My auto assassin took 10-11 weeks from seed to harvest, so your saving between MAYBE 1-2 weeks tops. can you say "MARKETING SCAM" cause I can say I was the sucker that bought it. NOT TO MENTION, you can't clone your auto's. SO WTF IS THE ADVANTAGE?! I asked that to the autoflowering group, and the only thing they could give me is because they stay small you can have them in a cabinet setup, without the need for lst or pruning. THAT WAS ALL THEY COULD COME UP WITH,...Telling you, I'm VERY disappointed in auto's in general...wow...this rant went way longer than I intended, sorry about that... :blsmoke: Feel Better now though...Thanks

Did you you ever try to email them about your order? I hear they have good customer service.

I do agree with some of that, but I still think they're pretty nifty. I like Lowlife's hybrids and I'm currently trying some Barney's white dwarfs out now... They're pretty sweet plants.

I got them from Herbies pick and mix seeds, so I'm not sure if Nirvana would replace them. Even if they did I wouldn't grow them again.

I can understand your frustration but if you didn't even get them from Nirvana maybe the place you got them from messed the order up?

man o man.... i hate seeing threads like this... do some research before you run out and order seeds that arent really what they are advertised... i mean, theres plenty of autos on the market that are actually AUTOS.. all the lowlifes autos i have tried are... yup 100% auto... along with buddha seeds red dwarf which was also.... yup all autos... stick with the ones that been around for a while although i recomend joint doctor (tons of grows on here) lowlife and buddha seeds (actual experience).. research the grow journals and research the god dam strain you want to buy before you actually buy it! lol easy enough? peace yall

Yeah so far ive tried Short Rider, Blue Mystic, and Bubblelicious Autos from Nirvana. All my shorts and Blue Mystics have been flowering very quickly and finish very fast but I am having that problem with my bubbas. Going on 10 weeks and finally seeing some pistols on ONE of them after switching to 12/12. so hoping soon the others will start too. Id have to say im pretty disappointed. But I just received some more Short Riders and a bunch of Northern Lights autos and hoping they work good as well. Im not totally through with Nirvana just yet but next time I might try another place. I got a photo period papaya that im about to harvest soon and just put up some pics if yall wanna check them out. looks pretty good for my first grow.

Yeah man, I agree. But sometimes you just have to take the risk. No biggie at the end of the day. Just makes Nirvana look bad. I 100% agree with you. Do the research first and it will save you a lot of time and money.

OK. Now I have a question:

I've been hanging out on these forums for some time now, and up until a couple years ago, there was little mention of these so called autoflowering strains, with the exception of Lowrider. Now there are dozens of different autoflowering strains on the market, presumably crosses of lowryder?

SO my question:

Is there any huge material advantage to be gained from growing an autoflowering strain?

I've got 5 auto Jock Horror's that are almost finished. 13 weeks now since they germed at 24-28 inches tall in mg soil outside no worries here

well my other ones were done by week 6!!!! thats really the only good advantage cuz really you are gonna yield FAR more less than you would in a photoperiod plant. but its just the quickness and the space saving abilitly of the autoflowers that a lot of people rely on
