trying to avoid airy buds

My last grow was light and fluffy due to elevated heat..... My current grow of AK-48, White Berry, & Violator Kush is up and running, seedlings have broken thru & first leave sets are out... The temp is a steady 84 degrees on 24/0 -- will this be ok for 4 weeks of veg?? By the end of 4 weeks the temps outside will be down far enough that I should be around 75-80 degrees in time for flower.

What are you using for a light? I started with a 250w hps and got light airy buds and bumped up to a 400 and noticed a huge difference even with higher heat.

yup ,

and also keep your lights as close as you can without burning them ,

if their to high not only will the plant stretch but the bud will aslo

and it will be light and fluffy....

i wouldnt say as close as u CAN.i keep my 400w about 16inch up and could prob go to 6 if i wanted.i prefer the coverage and i still get rock hard WW buds.

using 16000 lumens of CFL 6500k for veg -- and 250 hps cooltube for flower === due to being an enclosed cabinet of 20 sq ft I dont think I can handle a 400 watter...

As long as you're using an HPS lamp for flowering, I find bud density to be 95% genetics. The 5% I can controll, is done by proper lighting (at least 60w per sqft in bloom), proper water (RO, 68-74 degrees F), proper nutrient stregth (no deficiency or burn), and proper air (at least 1 full room air exchange every 4 min. I do less than 1 min.) I like room temps at 70-75f.


But to make good genetics like gdp, pre 98 bubba, and blue cheese NOT be dense would be a tall order. They (and many many others) are super dense nomatter what you do. They're prob dense under floros lol.
